Which is about the best way to describing that there is one week until the start of SEASON 9 OF LJ IDOL!!!

I know there are a lot of "LJ refugee" groups out there on various sites, people who think LJ is dead and so they form communities to mourn it. This might be a good time to remind them that there is a still a bit of kick in this site that isn't ONTD (because yes, we did!!) or Stupid_free (because there is plenty of stupid still going on here!! :D)

I knooooow, same here! I was just lamenting this the other day...on Facebook, no less. All my friends are there, but I really feel like LJ is a better platform for having conversations.

I know what you mean. A lot of times on FB, people just hit the like button without leaving any comment. Having said that, I'm constantly looking for a like button on LJ. LOL

RIGHT??? Me too. I think adding a like button to LJ wouldn't be a bad thing....my big thing with Facebook is that it seems to be more and more re-posting of some meme and less and less original thought. I'm all for reposting of memes, I do it, too, but when that's all my entire friends list is...grargh, arghghg.

I'm really surprised that they haven't added one. Of all the things that LJ has tried to copy from other sites, I think the "like" button would be the biggest improvement.

Hehe! BNL is my favourite band of all time, and I've loved them through Andy leaving and gaining Kevin and through Steve leaving. Love my boys!

I did find that Tyler took "Alcohol" in an entirely different direction, over-the-top but in some ways, but it didn't have the edge that Steven had with it. (Tyler seems to be celebrating, whereas with Steven there was irony. Maybe that's just me though.)

If people put the energy they put into forming groups about how LJ is dead to actually COME BACK AND POST AT LJ there wouldn't be a problem!
