Welcome to fundraiser central, or at least that's what it feels like at times. But THIS one is something pretty darn personal and extremely Idol-related.

Not mentioning names, for her safety, other than one of my Numbers personally asked if I could link it in Idol for her friend. Which is funny, because I saw that message as I was logging into my account in order to post the link!

It seems that everyone in Idol has been through a dark point at some time in their life, and we've all needed people to rally around us.

This is definitely one of those times for one of our own.

She's in a bad place, and needs a way out.
Abuse is not something anyone should have to live with, and I'm glad that this individual is finally finding her way out of it.

For whatever it's worth, I'm really proud of her.

And then you'd have to set up your own fund to try to escape from an abusive relationship. But once they realized that it was abuse that you keep signing up for, season after season, I doubt they would have much sympathy! :)

Not knowing anything about where this woman lives, or what she's tried, I do want to make sure that she's done her best to access services for abused families in her area. So, if anyone knows her, and knows she hasn't been able to do this, I hope you can help her find those services. She'll still need money, yes, but she'll also have expert support and resources behind her.

I know that is something that has been discussed. I've also directed a few people well acquainted with those resources in her direction.

Yes, this is something that has been discussed and several avenues have been tried. That said, we are still looking into more resources to try to help her.
