Date: 2007-11-05 05:28 am (UTC)Can we vote for multiple writers in each round, or just one?
Someone from
ok, I lied. Three things.
I've tackled the FAQ, but I'm not sure exactly how we vote. Do we just respond to the challenge post with our votes?

Date: 2007-11-05 07:10 am (UTC)I don't consider it to be bad form. I consider my friends list my reading list. I add people I think will be interesting or if we have something in common. When I was reading the intro posts, I added people I thought were interesting. Not all of them added me back, but that's fine by me.
They will post a poll with ticky boxes for the actual voting. (I think)

Date: 2007-11-05 12:46 pm (UTC)Personally, I haven't added anyone to my friends list. A few people have added everyone to theirs so that they can just read their LJ Idol filter instead of doing the clicky through thing from a post here.
I figure I'll probably add some people back at some point, but for now, I don't know enough about anyone to know if I'll want to read their whole journal (not just their LJ Idol entries).
Your friends list is your friends list, and if someone is offended that you didn't add them back, I think that's their problem, not yours (though this is a popularity contest in some regards, but I doubt that not adding someone back would be grounds for a no-vote). :)

Date: 2007-11-05 12:43 pm (UTC)1. Most rounds you can vote for as many people as you want to
2. Someone - non LJ Idol related - adds you as a friend. You haven't really talked to this person before. Is it bad form to not add them back? The same rules apply.
3. I know of at least one person who decided to add *everyone* in the competition so they could set up a filter to make sure she was reading everyone. That, to the best of my knowledge, is a first.

Date: 2007-11-05 12:48 pm (UTC)I have enough trouble keeping up with my friends list as it is, and I have an even harder time keeping up with my filters. :) I think I'll stick to my spreadsheet (which has links to each entry).

Date: 2007-11-05 01:46 pm (UTC)I'm one of the people who added EVERYONE. I recently moved in with my mom and on her dial up, the less clicks the better. I filtered it so that most of the time I'm reading my original FList.
I'm not hurt at all that people don't add me back. :) Welcome to the competition!
