Morning! I don't know if it's really interesting or not but on Saturday night the sci fi fantasy convention I am chairing this year is having their 1st annual Masquerade Ball, so *crossing the fingers* it doesn't suck and it turns out to be a lot of fun and the convention gets it name out there a little more.

Otherwise...weekend plans:
~my usual cleaning
~homework, homework, and yeah did I mention homework
~start new session of bellydance class

....the rest is pretty much fly by the seat of my pants kind of thing.

Not entirely, but as a motorcycle enthusiast, and broke b/c I've started my own business I've taken on a part-time job in a motorcycle shop. I will smell like a grease monkey and I can't wait! The money is pocket change, but I will learn a lot and be less likely to be scared to death of working on my nearly vintage BMW now.

We're hosting the semi-regular board game night on Saturday. No idea yet how many are showing up, so I'll just clean the living room, pop popcorn and see what develops.

Also, much laundry to work through now that it's stopped raining - the dryer is busted so I have to time laundry to sunny days for the clothesline.

We might take the Boy to the local corn-maze on Sunday. Or, go swimming at the health center. Maybe both. Hmmmm...

I am visiting my friend, littlblueghost we used to live in the same city many years ago but don't now. She lives in a coastal town about 7 hours drive from Adelaide, where I live. I don't know if you'd class that as a long distance or a short one but it's the first time I've made it out here after being invited for 3 years. I am a slack friend -- well I don't drive so I needed to have cleverlystupid drive me out here. Yes, okay. I am a bit slack.

Don't know what we're doing this weekend. Went to one of the naitonal parks near here today, saw a few kangaroos, found something that used to be a building. Love trying to work out what ruins and such once were.

Probly go to the beach too much -- i think she mentioned somehting about squid.. oh and deinfitely watch too many dodgy old movies and talk talk talk.

Hello all...

I shall be posting my first intro entry over in Topic 0 shortly, but I'm dealing with fact that my computer crashed AGAIN, so I'm in SAFE MODE again! :( That (with Networking) is a godsend.

My weekend plans involve reading the rest of these intros and discovering people... maybe a party Saturday...maybe a comic book event tonight.

Hopefully getting out of safe mode so I can watch the TV shows I missed this week (Reaper, House, Smallville, Supernatural, Pushing Daisies [that's because I watch Kid Nation] though. Also, no...I don't have a TiVo or a DVR. Wanna give me the extra cash a month? I'd appreciate it more than you'll ever know. Hehehehe...

My little sis is moving into our apartment complex this weekend, so I expect I'll be spending some time with her - and at least having her over to dinner tomorrow night. We'll also be heading out to a friend's baby shower on Sunday.

I'm sorry I don't make it into the green rooms much any more. Time is short with a baby at home during the day. (But I love it!)

I'm volunteering at the New York City Marathon this weekend! I'll be handing out water/Gatorade to the runners. I'm excited. Maybe next year I'll be one of the runners! :)
