Results - Week 11

There were twice as many entries, and a LOT more casualties this time around. Which means that there are some awesome writers entering the Home Game this week.

I’ve noticed that I’ve started saying that rather than just “eliminated”, Maybe it makes me feel better about it. Or maybe it’s to hide the fact that the “Home Game” is what I call the woodchipper out back.

Regardless of the reason, it’s always sad to be losing folks, and as we get closer to the end, that’s just going to intensify.

Thanks to everyone who voted for mythingperson week after week as I played with this pesky not-fiction stuff. It's weird, I tell you, weird. Now that I've had some modicum of success with it, I might dabble in it with this name, too, from time to time. :)

Also: WHEW, I'm glad to not be writing two (or four!) things a week anymore.

Y'know, I was starting to wonder -- there were a few times when the narrative voice sort of collided. And then I thought, "Nah, that's the Idol Paranoia talking. Gary's doing his job too well."

I kind of saw this coming as I watched the polls this week, but I'm honestly a little relieved. With school starting and traveling on the horizon, I was worried about how I would keep up in the next few weeks.

Still, I am very excited that I made it to the Top 20, both in Exhibit A and Exhibit B! It's given me the idea that I might have some smidgen of ability to tell a story and the desire to work on developing some of what I've written into something more.
