Green Room - Week 11 - Day 07

Everyone needs to get off my internet.

Right now.

I’ll just go ahead and put up a wall to keep the rest of the population of the world out. Everyone else can go back to doing cross-stitch, word searches, or whatever it was that was previously keeping you busy.

This move will solve 100% of “internet drama” and 111% of statistical related drama. It will even solve 134% of made up facts drama. Because who is going to be around to argue with any of these facts? That’s right. NO ONE.

So go out of find a couple more cats to take care of, and leave this series of tubes to me. Where it belongs.

I expect to see all of the websites out there to disappear within the next 24 hours. Especially the ones with comment sections – because seriously? That’s what you are spending your time on? If you are going to comment, go to Idol entries or even better – the Green Room!

Stay off of any article that allows you to comment if you want to save IQ points.

But that won’t be a problem for you much longer. Because you know, the whole everyone getting off my internet thing. ;) There. Problem solved. You’re welcome.

In a slightly related note – one of the “big stories” that I’ve been seeing going around (first for the event and then for the people who started saying that the event didn’t happen/digging into it) all over social media for the last couple of days is focusing on an Idoler.

It’s no one currently with us – but there is no such thing as an “ex Idoler”. There are only people who haven’t signed up this season, or can no longer sign up. ;) The latter are the only ones who aren’t still members of this family.

No, I’m not going to get into who or what. But if you *do* know, you should also know that Idol supports its own.

If it’s true – then this person needs the support.
If it’s not, and like the bobble-heads that have turned against them are saying that it’s a “mental health issue” and “drama seeking” involved – then we still support this person. Because then they were need all the support they can get in order to get that help.

It’s far too easy for people to sit back and nitpick a story. In various cases of things happening in Florida, for instance, I’ve seen people say things that no one who knew the area as well as they allege that they do would ever say. But because it fits in with what the other commenters are saying… that means they all start nodding their collective head and rally behind. I wonder what would happen if anyone were to research *their* lives and hold them up to the spotlight. I imagine that it would be nothing good.

For whatever reason, people like to use “oh, they have a mental health issue – whatever they are saying MUST BE FALSE”. Which is just crappy logic.
*Might it be* - sure. But it’s just as likely to be false if someone *doesn’t* have any issues.

Granted, this is the Internet. Who *doesn’t* have some sort of mental health issue around here??? ;)

In other news, I've just about finished my short story! Yay! Unfortunately, the characters end up making out and thus it is 1000 words longer than the permitted length! Stupid sex.


It rained today, and I made chocolate cake.

Also, what is the deal with all the amazing stuff in this week's entries? Everyone seems to have really pulled something amazing out of their collective (or individual) hats! Go, you good things!

Drama is cheap. Anyone can post criticism. Actually helping takes effort. Anyone who can't spare that effort should maybe consider keeping quiet instead.

I have no clue what's going on, but I've been there and done that with the being accused of drama and everything, and I am always on the side of whoever the internet critics are attacking.

Also, I've found that it's the people who shout the loudest about not liking drama and who go around talking about other people and accusing them of "drama" who are actually the ones causing the drama. Projection, yay!

After my experiences in the Sims community, my general internet motto is "Unfollow/unfriend/ignore anyone who is critical and harsh and judge-y and gossipy". It seems to work out well - my experience in the Sims Tumblr community is my best one ever, and it's stress-free. :)

Didn't know the person was part of Idol but I am pretty sure I know of which you speak.

My instinct was true or at worst slightly exaggerated truth.

And I have SO been there and done that with the "person is mentally ill so obviously attention seeking liar, QED." In fact, I left a faith community I had been part of for years largely over this exact thing coming up over and over again.

And that pisses me off a lot because my own mental illness is not exactly a secret! Sigh.

It's interesting the lengths that people will go to attack each other. It's each to point at other folks and say "look at the drama!" without taking the time to have the realization that you are the one who is being overly dramatic, about something that has no connection to your own life.

In other news, I had a dentist appointment this morning to get a new crown made, and am eating Arby's for lunch and keeping an eye on the polls. I've got about 12-14 entries read, and will get to the rest later today.

No idea what the drama is; don't really care, won't go looking for it.

I've been fighting a head-and-chest cold for the past few days, and last night it about leveled me. I'm at home now, drinking tea and recuperating. (And working when I'm not napping ... I have an always-on sort of career.) The dog seems pleased by this turn of events, but I think the cat would prefer I do my coughing and wheezing elsewhere ...

I know not what the drama is but if the individual is the who that popped into my head the they do have my best wishes. Even if they are not they have my best wishes.
Even if this who has mental issues. Is prone to delusions/paranoia/histrionics it does not make the drama and problems less real.
It definatly does not make them less deserving of support ether.
It makes them in greater need of support.

Now I have my own drama to deal with as my girls went and were hanging with hoodlums who did exsacly what I warned them about and we must go meet their probation officer today.
They remain under house arrest and deep deep corprolite.

I'm fashionably late to the Green Room. I'm wearing green though, so does that count for something? I've been working and running errands like a BAMF all day. The funeral home guy called. My cat's ashes are back. They packaged her up in a wood box in a sweet little bag w handles. If you didn't know it was from the "fun home", as we call it, you'd swear I'd been shopping at a jewelry store or a gourmet pastry shop! LOL. Guess we'll be doing a little family "celebration of life" on Sunday when everyone is off work.
I'm totally clueless about a past season Idoler creating drama. Could I be friended w this person here or elsewhere and not even know it? Oh well. If I am, I am.....

I'm clueless about any drama going on, but I've only been around for these two mini-seasons. I consider myself a late-comer to the internet and blogs, journals, etc., so most of the drama usually passes me by anyway.
