Results - Week 7

It was another close one this week! But having lost the only previous winner at the start of this poll, we knew that it was going to be a lot more wide-open than many were beginning to think. Which is always the point of any given season when things get interesting - when folks start realizing, “Wait - it COULD be me!” and start realizing that it’s *their* Green Room and *their* polls, it’s not just something set in place, but rather something that they can make their own mark upon. Things are just going to get even more interesting as we go, especially with an immunity to be given to someone still out there...

Unfortunately, there are two people from each poll who will be making that mark from the Home Game.

They all had an awesome run, but in the end, there can only be one person left.

Also seconding the "thanks for the Monday deadline!" Although multiple topics in one week is inherently evil, because it is often a prelude of more evil things to come (plus that smiley face WORRIES ME. A smiling overlord is a dangerous overlord!) In the past when he's done Evil Things [TM] to us like this, it's always been one entry per topic. Sometimes people connect the entries together in one way or another (kinda like intersecting with themselves? That sounds WAY dirtier than it is), but it's usually one entry per topic unless stated otherwise.

this week had a ton of super awesome entries. I'm glad to have even been in such company.

Confession time: I joined this mini season for completely selfish reasons, and I'm glad I did, because for the first time in a long time, I want to write outside of fandom, outside of idol. I think last week's entry said a lot for me, but I'll never be able to put into words how grateful I am for the weird twisty path that brought me this little corner of Internet.

Great suburban schneikies! I've never been in long enough to have an intersect - Gary took care of that early and often for me this time around. And I've never been in long enough to hit double-entries before.

I'm sad to see the four go but, to be honest, "OMG OMG OMG OMG, I'm still in???"

This, I'll have you know, is what goes through my head with every single results post that does not boot my arse off the island. Either you do the same thing, or you're a liar, or you hit refresh every 5 seconds until the poll closes and then you STILL did that after Gary posted the results.

My 11 yr old picked my entry topics for me this week, so I'm off to wrack my brain now...

OH GOD, you weren't around for Season 8, were you? Invest in two things: 1) caffeine pills, and 2) blood pressure medication. Also start searching the yellow pages for a good psychiatrist and\or priest - you'll understand why you need them when all is said and done.

Toward the end of Season 8, it got preeeettty crazy. Two or three topics on any given week got to be not too much of a surprise, and then the shit hit with, like, 18. Or 17. Or whatever the fuck it was, IDEK, some unholy number that easily dethroned 666 as being the true number of the beast.
