Green Room - Week 6 - Day 4

Going into the last week of “The Move”, and I’m busier than Edward Snowden’s travel agent! Due to costs associated with said move, I’m also having to move my dentist appointment back a couple of weeks. So I won’t be biting your head off, for fear of doing more damage, so keep in mind that my crankiness just might strike you down. Granted, my crankiness would probably strike you down regardless.

Considering that I’ll be moving into my first actual house, this is going to be a big deal. Yes, that’s right, I will finally be able to sincerely tell you to STAY OUT OF MY YARD YOU BRATTY KIDS!!

*shakes cane at you*

Hurray for the First!

The grandsons slept in a bit this morning so I have been able to read the entries posted so far and really enjoyed them. It made me realize again though how much I miss not being in the competition though.

Hmm, let's see: this weekend I tool KFP to swim class, participated in a writing session for a top-secret comedy project (don't tell Snowden), worked on my lit mag WildVioley.net, filmed and edited an audition for a commercial for an actress friend, and wrote an article on being obese for a Yahoo! assignment.

Today, I finally got an idea for this week. It made me laugh wickedly, so I hope you all like it.

I'd tell you to get off my lawn, but we're renting.

I'm back at work after a week off, and putting together my syllabus for the first day of classes (tomorrow).

I'm also trying to take care of other work-related things, but I can't call anyone because phones are out.

And some of these people are the type who don't respond to e-mails. So yay!

Just tossed something together. I decided to go back to play with the moonshiner girls from a few weeks ago, but there's been a serious time gap between that piece and this piece (think, like, five years maybe). It's a lot less playful than my first piece with them, but it's still in the Southern vein, which is apparently becoming my theme for this season of Idol. I didn't expect to be the kind of writer who picks a theme and sticks with it, but it's really fun and I"m enjoying myself immensely.

I have to finish tonight. Before/during hockey, no less. This is why I got to work early today! Good motivation.

Saw Man of Steel yesterday and LOVED it. I'm not a Superman fan, but this was a nice humanization of the big blue boyscout. More of this, please!

Yay for having a lawn! We love our lawn and are neighbors with the guy who mows it, lol.

I am still on vacation in Vegas, but I got my entry posted (and did NOT write about Cards on The Table) so go me, lol! We saw Rich Little (the impressionist - yes he's still alive) on stage last night in one if the smaller theaters - we paid a tad extra for VIP front row seats and even got to shake his hand afterwards! He was really great! In addition to his multitude of impersonations he also did some jokes, such as: "If you choke someone from The Blue Man Group, what color does he turn?" Hahaha!

Just so everyone knows, this account is meepalicious. (clauderainsrm, please link my entry under my usual name.) I won't be voting or commenting with this account, but I posted my entry here because of reasons. Please note that it's gonna go away as soon as voting finishes.

I'm really worried about this week's submission, because it hurt a lot to write and consequently I'm afraid it's not up to my usual standard. I couldn't come up with anything else: once I started writing, it consumed me and I couldn't let go.

Please don't judge me too harshly for the stupid shit I did in college. ._.;
