It’s pretty simple. I said that the two contestants with the fewest votes would be leaving today.

There are two, at the bottom, with exactly the same number of votes. So, there you go - they are leaving... but wait... there is something you didn’t know!

Heck, it was something that didn’t come up until this afternoon, so really there is no shame in not knowing it. But still, I have to point out that you didn’t.

[livejournal.com profile] unmowngrass decided to sacrifice. Which means that one of those two spots is being filled by her.

Which means that there is a tie for that second spot - which in turn means that no one else is going home this week. The craziness that is Exhibit B continues to twist and turn!

Aren’t you glad you read this?

The best part is when he follows the computer out the window and you can see his two-toned leggings. As George Takei would say, "Oh, myyy."

Two tone AMERICAN FLAG leggings. What's not to love?

Little known fact: Most people who wear American flag leggings are superstitious about talking computer ghosts. Wish this GIF had sound!

You know, I didn't even notice the guy under the desk until I saw the YouTube video!

At least now we know why he's wearing American flag leggings: he's Russian.

You know .... I have no idea. I have a large database of reaction GIFs that I use when I need one and this is just one of my favorites but I couldn't tell you where it came from to save my life.

Well, this sort of thing is never good, now, is it? I mean, except when someone does something noble, which is nice, but then they go home, which isn't so nice. Unless there's a jar of honey waiting for them, especially when it's time for a little something. And there it is, then.

Now it doesn't seem quite so bad. I hope [livejournal.com profile] unmowngrass likes honey.

...what? This thread is slightly crazy!

I... like honey a normal amount. It's not my Most Favourite Thing Evah, but I like it well enough, as everyone else does, I suppose? Although given that my throat is feeling a bit scratchy, it's probably exactly what I need, thanks for the suggestion. :)

Whoo, saving TWO people! Yay! This moment ought to have confetti...

As a little leaving present, here's a home-game entry. This is the entry I intended to supply for the competition but it wasn't quite ready at the time, so I had to do something else instead. Hope you enjoy - don't get confused by the icon! *wink*

These topics are particularly sucktastic this week.

Also, for Go Tell the Spartans, which is apparently a thing.

Though that comes from the more generalizable and usable "Go tell the Spartans, stranger passing by, that here, obedient to their laws, we lie."

That being said, I do agree that the topics are rather meh.

Well, I guess it doesn't really matter since it wasn't specified, and since the original reference is in the linked entry, I didn't really feel like delving into it specifically, since I know jack about it. I was just, like, being helpful and stuff.

I hate the f'ing topics, and yesterday afternoon was a lonnnng hot day and I got overheated and it's going to be worse before it gets better in September. :(

I don't know if she herself had them, or if her family had them, but they're a prominent feature in most of her books :)

South Indian Cuisine is mostly vegetarian and quite spicy compared to the cuisine in North India. They're nearly two wholly different cuisines. Think of India like Italy in that way.

ha-ha [not to be confused with laughter] See the Wikipedia link that [livejournal.com profile] kathrynrose provided above for an illustration. It's a prominent feature of the great manor houses in England c. 1700s to the Victorian age; hence, my remark above about Jane Austen.

It's Not Tacky If You Wear It Well is self-explanatory

Go tell the Spartans Again, see the Wikipedia link above. There's the quote, there's the movie, and there's a lot than can be inferred with either/both.

...and with that, I'm off to get more coffee.
