Part 2 is going to be the sign up sheet. Part 1 is explaining this bit to you.

EVERYONE WILL HAVE *TWO FLEXIBLE BYE WEEKS* to use from now until... well, depends on how many people sign up (at least until the first week of Jan)

That's right - you get to take two topics off without penalty. Use them strategically to avoid topics/elimination OR save them up to take the holidays off.

Either way, this should make things easier for people who are wondering if they should sign up or not...

Once I have an idea I will of course tell people when the deadline is to use them... unless of course it's funnier to make you panic. Which, hey, it might just be! (seriously - I'll tell you guys.*g*)

Names are TERRIBLE for me to remember. I've known people for years and I still mess up their names. It's genetic too- my mom and grandmother still mess up my name.

The first one can be used without notification, with the second I will need notification. You have until that topic's deadline to notify me though, so hopefully somewhere during the course of the week you will be able to do so.

Gotcha! And unless it's something critical, yes, any emergency can often be overcome by a trip to the library and borrowing of public internets.

I know, I was just kidding. I predict being outed somewhere in the middle of the game- I imagine the people who care last a little longer, at least. How busy I am with school is going to be a MAJOR factor as well- I want to really be able to take my time and put thought into these, but if I'm overly stressed and exhausted, I could be reduced to a post like this. Except now you run the risk of a label of cowardice if you use them to avoid sensitive topics... I like it.

I probably won't use any unless I'm sick or in school or anything.

Do you have to officially claim the bye for it to work, or if you say, forget the deadline, does it automatically take the bye?

I figured people would use them to get out of topics they don't like - but that will end up costing them later, since they won't have them when time constraints get tight for most people.
