I understand that there are still folks without a partner, now would be the time to correct that!

Don't just sit around complaining about Charles Clymer, actually *do* something - like post your entries! ;)

Hopefully everyone can check out the Idol Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/LJ-Idol/120173881339154?fref=ts which seems silly to update a social media page *about* a social media site. But in times like these when LJ goes totally wonky and I need to get a message out to the masses, that would be where I would post it. I also try to post links to Idol polls, so it's an easy way to "share" them, for those of you into such things.

In other news: Mischief Managed. Let's just say that the special mini-seasons have served their intended purpose. Now it is a matter of timing!

I can't see the FB page, it's just a login box, a paragraph of links, and that horrible squealing noise that seems indigenous to FB and fax machines, but someone told me via IM, so it was okay. :)

Updated my list tonight once LJ came back up -- many thanks to everyone who left me comments, PMs, etc! I still have nine persons with not even a tentative note, which hopefully means at least one of them is partnered but just not on LJ.

I'm feeling less left out of the intersections now, because milk_and_glass and I had an interesting conversation on Twitter (my) last night, which led to her inspiring a blog post, and now she's going to guest on my blog on the same subject from her perspective. It's funny how things randomly work out like that! We're not using the LJI topics as inspiration, but it still kind of like an LJI intersection since this is the place we met (even though I wasn't playing that season).

I'm glad I finished my entry, because I would have spent the weekend obsessing and I really need to get this house in better shape (although during the Great LJ Blackout of May 2013, I DID get the bathroom detail cleaned. I hope the spousebeast doesn't mind taking showers at the Y for the next week). My gf is coming next week, as well as a potential houseload of guests for my birthday party after-party.

I enoyed the intersection more than I thought I would and < user=maneless">'s entry led me to take the prompt in a direction I wouldn't have otherwise.

I sent thepiece to severa people who were there for the actual incident. There was much laughter and merriment and then a collective "Oh F#@%! You're writing about college now?????"

There are some very nervous people out there right now. *rubs hands together and cackles evilly*

I was definitely frantically emailing Gary yesterday going, "I can't log in! Don't drop me from Idol!" and he was totally like, "Slow your roll. It's okay." This is why he's awesome.

I'm off to geek out at a ham radio convention today; hopefully I can find a soldering kit to keep myself entertained for the month of June. My ass is dragging, though. Four hours of sleep does not a happy Banyangirl make!

Hello peoples! I just finished eating breakfast and will be going to get ready for work soon.

Yay for having the weekend to edit our story into awesome goodness! :) Man, I came home from work yesterday and I immediately got started editing and adding the last few paragraphs, and I was on a roll and it was good, and then I saw the extension! We could have had it posted if we needed to, but now we can take our time and really edit and really put it together. :)

Man. Working a full time 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. job and doing Idol is tough.

My mother and her dude are coming to visit tomorrow. We want to take them to a new restaurant we've found. My mother does not hear very well and it is impossible to get anything across to her on the phone. She is very insistent about where she wants to eat, saying that they like all these places that they've been to before and that's where they want to go, and there's nothing I can say.

Kind of like how I got new glasses a couple of weeks ago, and she'd call me every day asking about the glasses, and telling me to get transitions and going on and on about how much I would like transitions. I just nodded and agreed with her that yes, I would like transitions. I knew I couldn't get across that I knew I would like them because the glasses I'd been wearing for fifteen years or so, the last ones she bought me, were transitions.

I have to admit that I sometimes get kind of envious of my husband because he can actually have real conversations with his family. Maybe that's why I have social problems, when the idea that you could actually have things in common with family members and have intelligent conversations with them about things you're interested in, and you could say things and they would understand you and say things back that made sense, is such a foreign concept to me.

I feel the same way about my family. I look at my wife's family and they get along so well and have actual my conversations. With my family it's either silence or we're having an argument.

Could've maybe rushed and gotten posted last night, but am definitely thankful for the extra time to finesse my work - thought of a good ending for the piece, now I just have to get from hither to yon!

Also, the new Star Trek: Into Darkness movie is TEH AWESOME. Maybe better than the first one!

Yesterday I brought the_dark_snack home from the hospital. I don't know if they ever figured out what's wrong, but have given her prescriptions in hopes of preventing it happening again. Anyway, she's recovering well, except being a little woozy. She took today off and hopes to be back to work Monday.
