On a personal note, I’m currently $270.90 $260.90 from my ultimate goal. I knew that I was going to be coming in short. But it ended up being shorter due to not as many contestants signing up this time as I had allotted. On the other hand, it feels really, really close. Close enough that I’ve been dreaming about it for the last couple of nights. It feels like this is really going to happen – so thank you to everyone who has been a part of it! It is appreciated more than I can ever properly express.

Which is why I will eliminate you with a vengeance! ;)


Speaking of “sign ups” – I did announce that they would be open until 9 pm EDT TONIGHT so if you know someone who wants to get into the action, or are going “Man, I wish so-and-so would sign up so that I can do an Intersection with them!” now would be a very good time to do so!

Hey all - feeling horribly ill this morning, and it seems my associate has whatever bug I do. We sat together at continuing education yesterday, so I'm suspicious of all the people who were sitting around us in that crowded courtroom. Blah!

I think I have a partner for this round since someone messaged me and I messaged back, but I'm still waiting for confirmation before I announce it.

I'm hoping I get better quickly. My daughter has a skating lessons tonight and then we're going to a school fundraiser at Barnes and Noble, and I love book stores!!

We took Ember to her first ever off-leash dog park yesterday. We never did this before as she's always been a "runner" and we were always afraid she'd get lost and/or hurt. Now that she's older and creakier, she's more apt to stay close to you while exploring. She also ignores most other dogs. She had a blast! She played a little, but she was more content exploring. And because she doesn't move as fast now, it was easier for me to msnage her. Plus both of us evidently need a lot more "sit down and rest" breaks than we normally take :headdesk:

I also need to go shopping. One cannot live by milk and eggs alone.

I entirely dropped off the grid after the commencement exercises on Saturday morning; I've been holed up in my house on my couch catching up on The Walking Dead and knitting a very pastel-y baby blanket. *squee*! Thank you Gary! It's really thrilling to see my name on the cover of a publication like EV, and purchasing a kindle copy helps Electric Velocipede and you, which is double triple awesome sauce. Also, the story "The Still Room" (not by me at all) in EV is really fantastic. Loving it. It's fantastic reading other people's fantastic fiction.

I am a fraught with indecision about book stuff for Exhibit A. I have no idea what would be best included for consideration, but I'm not going to just throw up my hands and say "have the lot! Pick whatever!" because that's a cop-out. I'll figure it out. Somehow. Perhaps I should throw all the stories into an arena and let them fight to the death or something... I dunno.
