I'm off to bed. It's been a long day wherein my baby choked on a plastic disk (he's ok, thankfully!) and my oldest child got detention :/

Tomorrow I will be pretending to be all grown up, when I go to a meeting with my bank manager. Pfff. How does it even happen that the bank manager has time to talk to ME?!

Also tomorrow: swimming! Yay!

Today is not my day. Let's see, my mother was admitted into the hospital last night. Today my neighbor has court for the larceny and fraud charges I brought against her in November. (note to self, never press charges again if the person lives across the street from you, no matter how much it is deserved, unless you can move) Oh look, hives all over my forearm! Stress anyone?

Today, so far, has been stressful but it worked out thankfully!

I have jury duty coming up and have been stressing about that because I know I am unable to do it. Just the thought of it made me have a meltdown. All I had to do was call up my doctor and they said they'd call when I could pick up the form or whatever. Then I just have to mail it to the court or whatever the hell it is. :P

Meanwhile my mom has been calling and making me feel bad about trying to get out of it. She doesn't believe my diagnosis and says 'but you act so normal!'.

Enough of the rant. I'd rather think about happier things such as my going to see Star Trek this weekend.

Worst case scenario, from what I've heard, they ask you if there's any reason you might not be a good candidate for jury duty before they pick the jury, so you might be able to explain your issues then, as well. But I hope the doctor's note works out so you don't have to deal with all that!

Went away for the weekend and it was amazing.

Came home to a sick kid, though. Poor bb. He has a cold and is currently passed out on the couch. He hardly ate breakfast this morning but seems to be in good enough spirits when awake, Just snotty. I think I'm covered in it.

I am working on making some changes to my second chapter of Seize the Day, according to a friend's suggestion. I'm so glad I have awesome friends. <3

And someone was asking a couple GRs ago if anyone who missed the topic would like to pair up with them and still do intros, but they commented late and were on the second page. I suggested they ask in a later GR, but have not yet seen anyone doing so. I think it's Saturday's, if anyone is interested and wants to go back and find the comment -- they sounded really nice. (Am about to leave for the day and will not have time to write until after the poll closes, so I won't have time to write another. But I certainly encourage y'all to procure more cool reading material for me in the meantime! ;) )

Had a bit of a ranty weekend which, thankfully, didn't dissolve into meltdown mode. I just wish my brain and body would get on the same page. It would make life so much easier.

I conquered two elevators in high rise condos today for work, and I didn't hesitate or nothin'! That's really good for a person who has always been severely claustrophobic. And socially anxious - I had to talk to the two concierges as well.

Yay I am all proud of myself!

Also I am daydreaming about coming in here next month and telling ya'll that I won the Ploughshares emerging writers contest. I submitted the best EmoTeen!Seth story I could write, so I think I have a decent chance.

I had a really nice Mother's Day (we saw Iron Man 3! And then there was frozen yogurt!).

Feeling a little worried now, though, on behalf of another local family. A girl my daughter used to play basketball with, who goes to her high school, disappeared Thursday morning. There is talk of an "online beau." I don't have to describe the chill that runs under your stomach at that combination of events.

Please keep her in your thoughts.

Busy day today. I've got barbecue pork simmering away in the crock pot, took Pete to RIP (where he had his first little melt-down, which was good, actually), picked up my eldest's immunization records so he can come to RIP with Pete and I over the summer, grabbed some lunch and started cleaning the living room. After the busyness of last week, things kind of crashed around me hard. But I've got my schedule for the week planned out, and I'll get back on track.

Maybe I'll even get enough on track that I can start tackling some of my Big Projects again.

Huh. I thought HIMYM was just a season finale, not the series. Doesn't matter, I won't be able to watch tonight anyway.

Nervous about this week's concert. A million rehearsals for the date start tonight. Singing solo to 800 people is intimidating, but singing to 70 of your colleagues is outright nerve wrecking. Hopefully, I will survive. Please wish me luck.
