Green Room - Week 38 - Day 5

On one hand, the track of Isaac seems to be moving further west. Which is good (for me). On the other, more and more seems to be closing and there is little doubt that we will be experiencing at the very least tropical storm force winds. (if not more than that)

As if the craziness of the Republican National Convention wasn't enough. (Anyone who has had their city host a Super Bowl/World Cup Championship - they aren't lying when they say a political convention is about four of those combined. We've had both now... I'm sure anyone who has lived through one of them knows what I'm talking about.)

So on top of convention, we have a hurricane coming our way.

Even if the projections don't have it coming right at us, anyone who has experienced an Idol poll http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/601673.html knows there is always the strong possibility of it taking a sudden swerve at the last minute and coming right at you!

So, that's what I'm doing today. (Well that and waiting for the True Blood finale!) How are you?

I'm just chillaxing here, doing the usual stuff (CastleVille, et al). My mani/pedi yesterday was very nice, I got bright blue polish on my toes and pinkish-purple on my fingers. Whee! I may go out to Starbucks later, and finish up Mockingjay with a nice frappuccino at my side. :)

My mom is coming to visit today! Yay! :D She hasn't seen baby girl in a few months, so it will be good to share her developments and have some quality time. And the partner is making puttanesca from fresh tomatoes, YUM.

Baby girl is being delightful and making wookie sounds.

Probably will be going for a walk later, but mostly spending family time.

Thanks. #1 and #3 were both summer, #2 and #4 are spring, so I should just count myself lucky!

Contractions tonight, noticeable enough to notice, but I'm fairly sure it's a false alarm. Either way, it's almost 11.30pm, so I should probably go to bed regardless, right?!

I actually wrote a home game entry! It was a top ten things I like about LJI, but I keep thinking of more things to add.

Now I am going to finish the book I'm reviewing that is released tomorrow, and then I have to somehow read three more that are all released on September 1st, and this is why I should pay attention to actual dates and not just go "eh, they're not out until September"...

Let's just say I'm having a Monday. (And no jokes, please, because I am liable to kill someone)
Any day where washing chefs coats by hand in the bathtub is a GOOD activity because it allows me to pound the living *&^% out of something...let's just say it isn't a good day.
