Green Room - Week 38 - Day 3
Aug. 24th, 2012 07:51 amBack in Black is the first album released by AC/DC with their second singer. Per their Wiki, another interesting fact is that "The album has sold an estimated 50 million copies worldwide to date, making it the second highest-selling album of all time."
It was also the video posted as a teaser for the season.
People have asked me all season long why we have two official Idol icons for the season.
There were two Topsy Turvys in play at one point in the competition.
Quite a few of the special powers were released in lots of two or on even numbered weeks. (Not all of them, didn't want to be *too* obvious!)
Week 22 was a non-elimination round, where special powers were handed out.
I flat out told everyone that there was a clue to the finale in the placement of Hell Week, and that it was math related. Hell Week was Week 36. 3/6. (and took us from an odd number, 7, to an even one, 4)
There have been a number of references throughout the season to "two" or even numbers. That's because we are having a Final Two this season. Some people like the Easter Eggs. Others don't care. But there are some of the ones I've thrown into the mix over the course of the season.
Right now, we have the poll that is going to help decide who those two contestants are going to be! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/601673.html
So I hope you take the time, read, comment to, and enjoy those entries! After you check out that, go check out the final Home Game as well! http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/600987.html
I hope you folks are having as much fun as I am watching this unfold!
What other fun things do you have on your plate for the weekend?

Date: 2012-08-24 12:11 pm (UTC)I'll certainly be watching things unfold.
I remember
Thanks to the folks who read my home game entry and have commented. I've still got a little more reading of home gamers to do.
My exciting news for the day is that I'm most likely going to NJ for 9 days in October!

I imagine tonight we'll do our usual go out to eat thing, and then I will spend the weekend either writing an epic Seth as 15 year old boy going on adventures in the dark story, or playing Animal Crossing and Tales of Symphonia on the old dusty Gamecube. We'll see how motivated I get. Maybe listening to Eminem while I drive around today for work will help with the motivation thing.

Date: 2012-08-24 01:50 pm (UTC)This weekend? It's my two year anniversary of making things Facebook Official with Java. We were together for a bit before that, but the 25th is the day he decided to ask and let us become official. So there will be celebrating and lots of sappy cuddling I'm sure (well that's every weekend, but you know...)
Today is his sister's birthday and I'll be heading over there for dinner tonight.
And I'm looking forward to sleep like you wouldn't believe. I hardly got any sleep this week. I'm whooped.

Date: 2012-08-24 01:57 pm (UTC)heh. When I took off the tea towel to see if the loaves had proved, it was obvious just how much I'd had to compensate for the old yeast... let's just say that both loaves are going to end up rather more voluptuous than I'd anticipated! Something to remember for next time :D
Other than that, it's a quiet weekend here. I gave S (5 y-o) a piggyback today while walking him home from school and realised that it's possibly something I should refrain from in my current condition. I ache!

Date: 2012-08-24 02:23 pm (UTC)I don't even know what to say at this point, since it's obvious that most people think that losing multiple lives every month at this point is a totally reasonable blood tax for the benefit of open access gun ownership.

Date: 2012-08-24 02:57 pm (UTC)This weekend I am debating whether or not to go to someone's going away bash on Saturday night. I've only met him a couple of times, through stand-up comedy, but he's a screenwriter like me and he's going to be moving to the US to develop his craft further. Plus I have other friends going.
Other than that, hoping I can fit in some novel writing time. I'm not sure I'm going to make my personal deadline for finishing it on the 6th any more. I still have a lot to write, and I'm flying to Osaka on the 31st for my first international vacation with my husband, without the kids, since we had them. It's just for the long weekend.
Hmm... and maybe we'll get a belated birthday cake for our second son. He turned 2 yesterday.

Betsy Lerner wrote a terrific book, The Forest For the Trees, about writing and getting published, and she keeps a mostly-daily blog. Her posts are short and urgent and most days they end with a question...that's like a prompt :)
