For those of you who are not aware, this weekend, Idol’s own kittymichaels won the last thing that had left to conquer on this plane of existence, and decided to move on to win everything in the next.

Reports have him already moving up the ranks of Heaven Idol, and I don’t think anyone doubts he will soon be completely in charge, as the Winner.

Because no one wins like Kitty.

My personal condolences, as well as those on behalf of the entire Idol community, on the loss of a literary icon, and Fat Man Wrangler…. To the Michaels household, and to everyone who ever had the privilege of being beaten, in Idol and in life, by him.

In his memory, I suggest batting the Fat Man in the face. He would have liked that.

The rest of the family here is on a little vacation and I am in charge of feeding the kitties while they are away.

I had told Kitty Michaels that my grandson's kitten Shadow looks like Kitty would have years ago. All black and brown eyes and a climber. Kitty wrote me a tip on how to prevent the climbing cat syndrome...of course, it was to extend a treat every time he starts to jump up!

When I read Gary's post this morning I teared up, yet again. It was SO special that KM wrote as a champion for Idol. We will all miss him.

Hurray for everyone writing Hell Week. I can't imagine the nerves and pressure! Rock on!

I totally lost it, reading Joey's account of it. Mind you, the pregnant hormonal sleep deprived woman is probably not the best emotional yardstick by which to measure your reactions :)

Hang in there -- so close to the end!! (If that sounds ominous, I don't mean it that way, I mean, the end is near for everyone, not that it's especially near for you. And I'm talking about Idol, not life. OK, I'll just stop now.)

I'd heard about Kitty already and passed on my condolences already. I cried for him and Joey yesterday. As a fellow animal lover, I know this is a very difficult time for the Michaels. They are in my thoughts.

In happier news, my friend sadblonde wrote her first ever Home Game entry and I'd really love it if you could pop over and give her a welcome to Idol. I really hope she plays next season and it's hard to put yourself out there like that to a group of strangers. So show her some Idol love?

Gary needs to write a note to my boss excusing me from work for Hell Week. Java and I worked our butts off this weekend and I'm exhausted. I wrote all Friday evening, until 2 am on Saturday and until late last night. I fell back asleep after my alarm went off. I fell back asleep twice. Without hitting snooze. Oops. I'm that tired.

I know Java was exhausted this morning too. After hitting snooze, his face somehow found my knee which I was on my back with my leg bent... So yeah... He got kneed to the face at 4 am... Great way to start the morning. I'd swear that Gary possessed me in my sleep or something :P

I had a nap and a snuggle with my Banjo-Cat this afternoon in kittymichaels' honour. Hope there's catnip and tinned food wherever you are, big guy.

In other pet news, the dog is sleeping next to my feet, and is dreaming about something, and doing these cute little barks. It's hilarious.

OK, it's after 10.30 here, and I should be in bed, or at the very least, putting the recycling out. Wishing all of you a whole lotta luck for the deadline tonight/tomorrow!

Everytime I see a print ad or commercial or where it says "The Winner of" or "And the winner is" and so on -- even someone just announcing/saying it, like awards shows or the Olympics -- my mind automatically fills in "well, Kitty Michaels, of course."

He's winning on the next plane already, and hopefully has an army of minions gathered to give him chicken and do his bidding. :)

I heard about kitty's passing yesterday. Very sad.

I started writing two HG entries this week, but it's just too effing hot to write. I went to take one of my gel tabs earlier and found the pills had glommed into one large mass inside the pillbottle inside my purse.

So, yeah. Hot.

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. Kitty was a good friend and I've never in my life cried as much as I have in the last few days. It was time, it was the right thing to do, but it didn't make it any easier.

I'm not much of a believer in an afterlife, but he makes me hope - desperately hope - that there is an afterlife so I can see him again someday.
