Even if you don’t have it. That doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate it! Unless of course, you are “too foreign”. Then, of course, you can’t understand or appreciate it!

Maybe you are too busy speaking Spanish in AZ/”being dirty” or not loving your family enough to be heavily armed.

In which case, you won’t understand! You’re probably a socialist who doesn’t know what ‘Merica is all about!

Even if I post a dozen memes on the subject! Geez people – how many memes do we need to post before you “get it”???

What are showers? I've only taken baths for nearly two years now, ever since my son decided it's too terrifying for me to be hidden from him by a shower curtain. :-/

I think it has something to do with feeling very vulnerable lying in water naked. I also feel like... things are floating in the water with me. And there's also the irrational fear of drowning. On the rare occasion when I MUST take a bath, someone has to be in the bathroom with me, talking to me the entire time.

Wow. Sorry to hear that. I actually find baths really relaxing; they bring back happy memories of taking baths in our big tub when I was a little girl. My mom began taking baths when we were little for the same reason I'm doing it now, and she still prefers to do that.

Almost every time I shower (we have a glass stall, no curtain just a door) there is usually a cat waiting for me to come out - they seem relieved when I emerge unscathed from the Big Box of Water, lol!

I am still trying to recover from my trip to D.C. I'm taking Friday off so I can catch up. With all my extra health stuff it takes a bit to come around after traveling.

In fact, I wouldn't have had time to write an entry for this week, more than likely, so a perfect time to get booted over to the jury. This has been a great season for me and I've enjoyed getting to know so many wonderful people. As I said in my goodbye post, in last week's results thread, I'm open to anyone who might want to friend me.

I'm hoping to have some time to finish reading the posts for this week. I recognized some names in the champion's pole so that should be interesting to read. Some people have great taste in who they picked, and I can't wait to see who others picked.

Fargo wants everyone to know he was a real champ in D.C. He worked the city like he had lived there his whole life, including remembering his subway training for the metro. We both slept hard at night. Who cared if the hotel sheets were scratchy compared to my six hundred thread count ones at home.

Now I'm off to study for school. I am behind. Good luck to all in the voting.

I'm actually enjoying the Jury Duty stint, but it is hard to determine the vote for immunity now. You are all SO worthy of the win!

Ack! Today is my husband's birthday, but I'm deep into packing for Otakon. I checked with him, and he's OK with me getting a gift at the Otakon Dealers' Room (which has all sorts of nifty stuff). I printed out a cute birthday card with a car on it that says "Happy Birthday Daddy" for KFP to color. Now we're going to talk a little walk and find a card that can come from me. Wish me luck!

I've got to pimp the Home Game too, even though I'm still working my way through the main entries right now.

Special plea: because I had to leave Friday afternoon with multiple solicitations to potential "Champion" authors out there, I actually had TWO wonderful people write stories for me while I was off in the Internet-free mountains.

I chose the first one that came back in email, but I feel so bad about the one I couldn't pick. This author is a lovely person I don't even know, who was recommended to me by another Idol contestant, and she went out of her way to write a story for a complete stranger. What a wonderful lady! If you have a moment, please read and comment on damcphail's linked story in the Home Game thread.

Unfortunately I only got one entry done this week.
That's cause the 80's only lasted the one.day and then we were back poke poke poking 110°f. We are sposed to have another cool spell this weekend - all the way down into the 80's again. Ohh, but that sounds nice.

it is a musical my dad wrote, called Space Opera. It is interesting, and an interesting combination of folk/pop in the first half, and classical in the second!

I am loving the clothes shopping at the moment - I just don't want to be a dag when I move to Japan!
