Green Room - Memorial Day Weekend - Day 1

Removing all superstition from the mix, and relying only on good, hard science – I have no choice but to come to the conclusion that your votes angered the Gods, who did not want such a result to ever be posted.

So, ten minutes before the vote would have been final, they lashed out with a storm that knocked out my internet, and by appears to have fried by router (it’s no longer receiving or sending information, they couldn’t remote in last night in order to fix it. That will require someone coming out in person. On a holiday weekend.)

There are a few questions that I know you want to know:

(1) “How many people were going to be eliminated.” 7. Only because I set the cap at 8. Otherwise there could have been 9, maybe 10, depending on where I set the hypothetical maximum.
(2) “Was I one of them?” Yes. Yes, you were. ;) OK, that really depends on who is asking me. If you want to know, I’ll tell you in private.
(3) “Were any of those 7 people you, Gary, had on your “Yes” list?” 4 of them were. On the other hand, the rest of my “yes” list looks like what would have been the “top” of the poll. So, go figure… you people have *some* taste, I guess… :P
(4) “Can we find out where we would have ranked, in your usual vague terms?” Yes.
(5) “Can we find out where we would have ranked in Gary Only voting?” Yes. But be warned, you may not like the answer and if I start getting the endless follow up “BUT WHY????” I’m going to shut it down. Unless of course YOU are going to be cross examined for everything YOU didn’t vote for this week and every other week. I have a list. :D
(6) “Are you feeling cranky this morning, Gary?” Yes. Very much so. I’m sorry for lashing out like that. But it’s been a bad 12 hours or so.
(7) “When is the new topic being posted?” The appointment to get my internet back up is on Monday. I figure this is a sign from the Idol Gods that you are supposed to go out and enjoy your Memorial Day weekend with friends and family. The new topic will be posted late Monday.
(8) “That really sucks”. That’s not a question. But I do agree. I’d much rather be eliminating you people. ;)
(9) “Why does George Martin like saying “Number 9”? He just does.
(10) A special “Thank You”/kick to the hippie goes to spydielives who was able to post a message to you guys. I would have done it myself, if I could have. But I figured hearing about it through channels was far better than leaving you refreshing all night and getting frustrated!

Wow. Now I'm curious who would have been eliminated! I don't know if I want to know rather I would have been or not... Maybe it's best left to wonder? I'm also curious about "Gary's list" too of course :)

Update time: Annabelle showed slight improvement yesterday which is good. It's going to be a slow recovery but at least the treatment is helping. It could get worse again, but I'm really hoping it's healing and that we will be good. If all goes well, she will have surgery next week to repair the tissue. Let's hope it goes well.

I'm exhausted more than I've ever been in my life. I keep sleeping through my alarms and getting up late. I should be out of the shower already, but here I am. Still just barely moving. Today is a short day at work followed by a doctor's appointment for me (it should be routine, just getting a check up before I lose health insurance).

No Idol topic this weekend?!? Whatever am I going to do?!? Oh I know... Sleep. Lots and lots of naps in my future.

Got the screen made for the screenprinting last night. It's not quite finished (it takes a while for the screen filler to set, after which I have to wash out the blue stuff, which is where the design will be) but it was getting late, so I'll do that this evening. Otherwise, the screen printing is ready to go for our Sunday t-shirt printing ritual! W00t! It's exciting going from a rough sketch to an almost-finished screen. =)

G'Morning All! And a Happy Friday to youse!!! Interesting finish to the poll last night... lol... lots of stress and then... nothing. I wonder how this will impact the whole real life/Idol matching up with each other thing Gary mentioned in the GR yesterday... Has DOOOOM been averted?

3-Day weekend... Yay!!! My poor girl has obviously had a hellish week and is beat so I shall be taking care of her and letting her get plenty of naptime in over the weekend. We did pick up Season 1 of Game of Thrones... which I am insanely excited to see. So I'm sure that I'll be watching that while she naps since I'm clearly the more excited to see it. :-)

Sorry about the fried router! Power/internet outages are bad enough, but fried equipment is the worst. SUCH a hassle to get it replaced, even if you're buying it yourself rather than waiting on service people.

Hope the weekend goes better, and you're able to get in some relaxation of your own.

I think the gods were angry this weekend;

Had the worst day; husband in hospital with 'off the scale' BP; He is home a day later thank goodness.
Storms that tore through Victoria, quite horrible, a tree down across the drive, the bridge we need to get to the road almost gone in floods. Got the emergency services to remove the tree.
Someone coming to re do bridge Monday.
Family 'prodigal' son .....more horror stories too detailed to mention.

I am now aftr a few hours sleep trying to put my world back in to a nice neat order, far chance.

So hope you are Ok Gary, just to let you know you are not alone!
