Today is the day!!

I get to ramp everything up and unleash terror upon the land! I get to finally bring forth the Horrors of the Depths so that they might suckle on the screams of the innocent.

I will... oh man, you've got to be kidding me??? North Carolina had to go and one-up me??? Man. what's up with that state always trying to horn in on the action???

I guess it's back to the drawing board. But be warned, what I come up with next will truly be scary!!

I got home from my trip to Korea and Taiwan on Friday night to discover I was still without Internet (it stopped working the night before I left for the trip, so, ~11 days earlier) and that the ISP wouldn't send a technician until Monday. He arrived a day late, but I don't care, because at least now I have Internet back and can talk in the GR because Gary posted it in the middle of the day for me ;)

What a shame I never signed up this season so I can't be voted back in the game (or not, because I might be disappointed if I didn't win it) XD

Boy has time flown though. How is Idol already top 40? I feel like I've been really out of it this season. Suppose then that it's a good thing I didn't sign up!

Top 40 already?!? I've pointed this out elsewhere, but last season in week 28 when I was voted out, it was the Top 10. The season before when I was also voted out in week 28, it was the Top 20 and that season was long. It's week 27 and the Top 40... This one is looking to be a long one :)

And yes, I'm worried I'm cursed about the whole 28 thing. That's pretty crazy if you ask me!

The NC thing just blew me away. I can't understand the point. I hope it can be repealed at some point in the near future. M and I share house, mortgage, car, bank account, offspring and pets, but we're not married, and never plan to be. How is our 14.5 year relationship less valid than someone who got married yesterday?

Lucky for us, we live here (and also lucky for us, we could get married, if we wanted... others are not so lucky. Hope we can change that, soon, too).

Quiet day at home today - I'm cooking up batches of curries and soups to try to save us money and time (read: to exhausted to cook in the evenings and we're living on eggs and cereal!) Yesterday was chicken vindaloo for M, today pumpkin soup, this afternoon another chicken curry (but mild, this time). Hope I can keep it up a bit so I'll be ahead when the baby arrives and I don't have to worry too much about preparing meals.

Been to see the Mesapotamia Exhibition in Melbourne, which was awesome, came home and kitty was lost!!! panic, load of wood delivered was she under it?????Help, but she was hiding under the house, so stop panic, now as I have been out since 7am I had better get reading. Tired and emotional.....

I am a puddle of pollinated crap right now (record breaking pollen levels!), the NC thing passed and here in sweden politicians are debating how the police will be able to use the 'let's store all net traffic data' law the EU passed a while back. What they said would be only for organized crime and terrorism and after permission is given by a judge, looks like it will be usable whenever there is a suspicion of a crime that can be punished by a fine.

So yeah, time to get a bloody anonymizer just to put a wrench in their bloody thing. Yes, not a happy camper right now.

:shaking head: Several towns in my area have anti pit bull legislation. There are some shelters which won't even take them.

And you're right, it's the owners which are the issue. Really, sometimes I think there should be legislation against certain people becoming dog owners. If you don't want to undertake the responsibility, then don't become one.

I have to get ready for work, so much for getting in early but I've been super exhausted this week and slept 20 minutes later than intended.

But has anyone else noticed a lack of comments? I haven't had a new one in like 24 hours. I know I'm not the best this week either, but I'm trying. I got through halfshellvenus last night and likely won't finish reading, but I'll do my best to comment on most things. I was just wondering if it's because everyone is busy or if it's just me with a longer than usual post...

As a Tarheel born and a Tarheel bred - I am sorry. I thought my state was better than it is. I had more faith in it than it deserved. As a result, I thought it would not pass. So I didn't fight like I should have. I thought the battle had already been won. How can you live in such a beautiful place and have hate in your heart? I just don't understand, and it's scary, and I don't know how to feel, and yeah. Tough day here.

I was just asked who was eligible to come back into the game. After reviewing the original statement (and checking my notes to make sure that I didn't misspeak when I posted) -

You are eligible to come back into the competition if you were eliminated between Week 21 (when the power was awarded) and this week. So, if you are close to being eliminated, and want another shot at it, you are eligible for consideration.
