Green Room - Week 23 - Day 7
Apr. 17th, 2012 09:43 amWe’ve got a poll: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/557968.html
And special powers: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/557781.html
Next, I’m tying you to the roof of my car, because it’s just like a rollercoaster. You’ll going to LOVE it!! It’s good enough for Seamus Romney, it’s good enough for you!
Ah, the good old 80s, where everything was “OK” and the future was filled with the possibilities of what could be screwed up next!
As an example – how many current Idolers were actually born in the 80s!! What a horrible decade, that will likely go down as when everything went wrong! ;)
Unlike right now, in Idol, which will go down as the time when everything had already gone so completely wrong that there wasn’t much you could do except put your head down and hope for the best!

Date: 2012-04-17 02:02 pm (UTC)Ah the 80's a loverly decade where everyone really was out to get you. Honistly I think us generation Xer's turned out remarkably well all things considered. Frankly it's really amazing that we aren't all holed up someplace with a shotgun screaming to the people at the door to go away.
Remember folks paranoia is just good reasoning when everyone is out to get you.
check my lj and in it my home game entry.

I love rollercoasters - not quite as much the sort that go upside down, or the type you stand up on, but otherwise they are FUN. :)

Date: 2012-04-17 04:20 pm (UTC)My contact fell out and within minutes of waking up, I was able to put it back in without a mirror or assistance. The tech was impressed. I can't even do that without being out of it usually.
I had a banana peanut butter smoothie to go with my Vicodin. I'll be out the rest of the day ;)

Date: 2012-04-17 05:02 pm (UTC)Vicodin did not make me sleepy at all but it works differently on different people. As long as it controls any pain, that's the thing! Have a good nap!

Date: 2012-04-18 11:47 pm (UTC)Then I was a mother of teenagers in the 70's , we listened to a lot of music. I was a very cool Mum.
80's had to cope with a lot of the death, husband's mother, my father, my mother. When all the lj crew were having their formula, I was balancing work, nursing sick people, and dealing with teenage angst.
But also remember the 80's for some fun stuff too, the fashions were whacky, the bands were 'glam rock', and we changed countries for the third time.
Music update;
I notice Gotye has made it to the top of the US charts, see? I have been going on about him for four years! I 'wuz right'.
