My entry is finished and sent off to a beta reader. I have been suffering from a headache from HELL today. I blame my antibiotic. It's been ridiculous trying to make it through the day with roommate interviews (2 out of 6 actually showed up). But my entry is written and while I like my piece, my partners piece is going to blow you all away. So be warned. He is awesome :)

He also got peed on today. And no, not by me sickos. The neighbors above me apparently let their dog go potty on their patio and it (shocker) is leaking down onto my patio. He was being sweet and cleaning it up when they let the dog out on the patio and pee dribbled down onto him.

Yep. Complaint to management has already been sent. That is just wrong. They let their dog go potty all over the patio?!? Seriously?

Ugh. People suck sometimes.

My weekend was AWESOME! sketchybrunette and I did such a good job working on our intersection. I'm not saying our stuff is awesome (although of course I'd like to think that too!) but I mean, we had some ideas, and then I didn't think I could carry it out, and so we had to go back to the drawing board, and I think out of it came the very best of what it is to work creatively with another person - understanding, and compromise and respect. It was BRILLIANT!!

Also, we went to the zoo to do a treasure hunt, and that was pretty cool too. My children were fairly well-behaved, though my hips hurt like a demon last night.

I'm really sleep deprived today. This is a combination of baby waking a lot and also trying to ensure I could be awake when my intersection partner was awake. Time zones are a killer.

Haha, yes, the time zones! I didn't think of it when we decided to work together, but I'm surprised we got everything together so well being on opposite schedules. (I give partial credit to your baby for waking you up when you had email.) ;)

I can't believe so many folks still don't have partners! Especially considering how *GOOD* all these writers are.

About the only thing I accomplished this weekend was my Idol piece. It's pretty much finished, though I'd appreciate beta/concrit. Anybody interested in participating, send me a LJ Private Message. I *REALLY* need to go to bed soon, but I'll try to reply in the morning.

Other than that.... meh. Tired, too much to do, not enough time. Same old, same old.

I was working on finessing my first poem - a Cento - for National Poetry Writing Month when this GR went up. The poems are all friends-locked for possible future publication purposes, but if you're on my Flist feel free to go take a gander. I rather like the way it turned out!

Technically, it posted on April 2nd, but I did start it on April 1st.

Otherwise, my weekend was mostly uneventful. I made a pot of chili for supper tonight, so tomorrow I will make a "Fritos Pie" with some of the leftovers. Om nom nom!

Phew it is done!!!, we intersected like crazy, wrote silly notes, drank a lot of coffee, some in PA some in Aus. We both wrote entirely from the heart, that bit mattered.

By the way did some Haiku a year or so back, might get back into poetry if I last this round. Anyone done much of that?

I just love being jarred awake by a clock radio, especially when it took me who knows how long to FINALLY fall asleep :p

I was asked at work yesterday if I'd mind going back to my original original (4AM-noontime) schedule starting at the end of the month. I nearly fell to my knees and swooned because THEY finally get it: You can't keep dividing one person between five different duties in the course of X hours without crash and burn. Amirite? AMIRITE?

My weekend was very productive. My semester started out really full-on and I've been trying to catch up with everything (I much prefer to be ahead on stuff than falling behind), and I was able to do that, so yay me! Though, I wish I had more time to pop in here to say hello, not to mention read Idol entries. Real Life is so needy *rolls eyes* XD

Seriously wobbly weekend. If reincarnation turns out to be true, in my next human life I'm owed serious booze to explain this one. Unless reincarnation is real and I'm paying for a past life's excesses this time around...

Saturday involved gardening or imperiously waving my tiny frozen hand at various projects for my slave dr_mitch to attend to. Oh and trying to get to the bottom of the mystery as to why the carpet cleaner had stopped sucking in favour of blowing.

We*re exciting.

Sundays are usually set aside for role-playing, which we did. Actually, we mostly all played silly music, gossiped like loons and ate ourselves to a standstill, but there was some dice-rolling too.

My Intersection with porn_this_way had been lots & lots & lots of fun. I was terrified of having to work with another person, but my partner and I are working great together. I like to think our soon-to-be-finished product is great, too. ^_^

The creative process is an odd beast, and our writing had a mind of its own and went in a totally unexpected direction. I won't say any more; there will be no spoilers here, haha.

I'm tired and whiny this morning, because I had a busy weekend. A coworker wanted to switch hours with me, her Monday for my Thursday, so she could get a day off earlier in the week, but if I had done that, I wouldn't have been able to write an entry. So I told her I already "had plans" (which is not untrue--I have plans to write).

I think cheshire23 and I got some good brainstorming done, though, even though I didn't have a lot of free time over the weekend.

So sick. Started with a little congestion on Friday, which got worse as the weekend progressed. This morning when the alarm went off I literally couldn't move. Called work to say I wouldn't be in and went back to sleep. Woke up about half an hour ago. I'm not too bad if I'm lying in bed, but the minute I stand I feel the world tilt. Blech.
