Yeah, I'm a little surprised to be here--considering I haven't lasted as many as *ten* weeks in any of my previous seasons.

So there *will* be a poll to watch this week? Hmm... (Or will Gary just be watching the votes from his computer while the rest of us suffer?)

A poll to watch, eh? I wonder if it'll be a combined gatekeeper/poll thingie like we've done before where the poll eliminates some people and the gatekeepers eliminate others? That would be scary and fitting for the month of Doom!

Im always surprised at being here still. I mean, do you realize that we've been going for over 5 months now? It blows my mind to think of that. Not that I'm complaining, it's one thing I love about this. I love watching others (and myself) grow and see what comes out after you've gotten all your obvious stories out. What I mean by that is when you get to a point where you have to really stretch the imagination to get something out... Those are some of the most awesome stories to read IMO! I hope that makes sense. I'm congested and my head is dizzy today. Ugh.

And I should be getting ready for work. Fun fun.

It's supposed to be the last nice day here for a while. I plan on enjoying it. I have to work, but there is always ducking out for that bit of sun at lunch. It's beautiful out.

Hopefully I'll get to my entry tonight because I have a paper to write, and I want to see the Hunger Games because I read the books.

I'm honestly surprised to still be here. As a newbie, when I first joined, the sheer volume of participants was VERY intimidating. It was a completely new world, and I expected to be voted off in week 1. After surviving that, I made it my goal to last until Christmas...then top 100...my new goal is to make it to top 50. After that? Who knows? But one goal at a time...

My first season, I too a bye my first week (I was traveling) and just wanted to make it past the first week I played. Then it was the Top 100. It's really interesting when you realize you can go further than all that, isn't it?

I'm very glad to see you still around. I have loved your writing this season and peg you as being able to go very far :)

I'm scratching my idea of reworking a current draft and going with something else. Possibly nonfiction.

Also I have a three and a half hour driving time for work today and I have to leave in just a couple of minutes and won't really have time to check in on my phone like I do sometimes.

Hopefully we can get to see The Hunger Games tonight! But I think everyone else in the world is also planning on that, so we'll see what happens. We will definitely be getting tickets before doing anything else, like eating or going to the bookstore.

To be honest, I'm rather surprised to NOT still be standing. I'm keeping the bench warm here on the sidelines, but it's not my preferred viewing area. I'd rather be in the arena, although nowhere near the Cornucopia.[*]

However, since I don't have to bother writing an entry, that leaves me more time to do Beta work. I'll certainly use you to beta with. I may have a totally different idea than any I mentioned in the work room... I may bounce ideas off if I get time during the work day to send you an email. It hit me on my way to work, and I think I like it. But I'd love to see if others would be interested since it would require self reflection and I often wonder "who really wants to hear about me..." unless it's funny of course. Everyone loves funny, right? This isn't funny so much as it'll show my values and who I am.

I'm babbling to prevent myself from working. Ack. Sorry about that!

I'm pleased to be here still as I've now officially gotten further than last year (I was voted off by gatekeepers in week 19 when I was pretty sick and didn't write a good entry and knew it!).

I was actually more surprised that I made it as many weeks as I did playing with an alt, but it's great because it means I have double the new material from all those weeks.

I want to see The Hunger Games, too! My partner actually owes me a date to The Lorax. It has been one of my favorite books basically forever, and so when he heard that it was being made into a movie three years ago, he asked me on a date for 2012, haha. We don't go to the movies often, so going twice in a short amount of time will be a treat.

Question about The Hunger Games: Is the movie based just on book one? The whole fam has read book one, but we're still in various stages of Catching Fire and Mockingjay.

I'm quite surprised to be standing here still. I'm thinking "me? People keep voting for me?" My stories have largely been part of a fiction serial, which isn't known as a popular style in Idol. But people like my world and my characters and my writing. A lot of the time this is disconcerting, in a good way. But still disconcerting because I just cannot believe *I* am still standing.

I'm always surprised and totally thankful to get to stay in the game for another week. With so many talented people in this game, it's seriously awesome and amazing to me.

Yay the weekend is here! Thanks to pixie117 I think I have my piece all nailed down. I just need to write it now. :-) But I think it'll be a fun piece. I hope it will be anyway. :-)

Let me join the throng expressing their surprise at still being in! Loads of times I've come one place higher than the eliminaions... first one up above the line! Which obviously makes me think that next time I might not be so lucky... and then the following week it is the same story! I've never (I don't think) made it to "middle of the pack". Still, still in the competition is still in the competion, right? ;-)

Kind of lucky. They nap for an hour or sometimes two which is great because they're 3.5 and WUT?

On the other hand, they're still up. They'll be up for another hour or 90 minutes. And they'll wake at 7:30. Blargh.
