Today is actually Thursday. Unless of course you live somewhere that it’s no longer Thursday, or perhaps on another planet and are wondering what this “Thursday” thing is – and are now confused and will destroy the sun of Andromeda 7, and keep on destroying until someone explains it to you.

So anyone who was confused yesterday, today is the actual day that the poll will be closing and death will reign down on us all – well, YOU all. The poet William Joel promised that “Only Good Die Young”, so it’s pretty clear that I am, in fact, destined to be immortal!

My desktop once again decided not to play nice, so it's currently undergoing a defragging. Ergo, I'm on our crappy about-to-crash-at-any-second laptop, which no doubt also needs a defragging badly.

Next week is going to be just as bad as Pie Hell Week at work -- we're having our grand reopening. I suspect I was given two days off in a row to rest up for it :p

I am all happy! The spousal person came home last night with a food processor and a rolling pin and a new pan, and he proceeded to make bread and pasta, and it was all awesome, and he has plans to cook even more stuff! Like this weekend, we are going to attempt cream cheese brownies! :)

We will probably also be going to see The Hunger Games this weekend. I am quite excited about that.

Yay I am all happy and everything is green and good, 'cause you guys are my friends!

I had a tick partly in me, feasting upon my fluids. Then I freaked out and tried to rip it out with my bare hands, because in my panic I forgot all I'd learned about proper tick extraction.

Looks like there might still be a teeny piece inside of me. Looks like a little black splinter.

Good news is, it was one of the big ones, not one of the little Lyme ones.

Bad news is, I feel violated and the place where it was is sore.

I miss the good old days of my childhood where Maine was the frozen white north for half of the year and I played in the woods all the time, without ever seeing a tick on me or anyone I knew. I mean, sure I've enjoyed being out in the sun this week, but if the tradeoff is having parasitic invertebrates burrowing into me, I'll take cold and snow!

Last summer I had a tick who decided to attack me from a overhanging tree branch. I didn't know it was there until after we'd returned home. It came off, but I couldn't help shuddering for the rest of the night.

Alcohol and tweezers, maybe? That's the only thing I can think of as to how to get that little piece out.

Okay maybe not. Though I'm ready to kill our sign vendors and Evil One. Evil One had me go through 700 apartments on a rent roll and calculate percentages of floor plans per building. Easy stuff, just tedious. I finally get done and glad to send it her way when she's like "oh I forgot. I also need you to find the percentage of each with washers and dryers. Oops!"

So I'll be cursing my life while I get back to the tediousness.

Oh and if I have to change my bosses travel arrangements one more time because he doesn't know what's going on... Grrr

I feel like I'm going to die today so maybe I'm still "young-ish?" Blergh. I feel like I'm about to toss my cookies and I'm wiped out and just want to sleep for 10 days straight. I sure as hell hope I'm not pregnant.

Still have some entries to read yet but there is some really great stuff out there! This should be an exciting finish tonight!
