Hey, wow, this is what I get for waking up early on Sunday. Fun!

I guess I could at least fill you in on what I've got going on, and pretend that you've been wondering. haha

I'm excited about today! I'm performing my very first wedding ceremony, for a friend I met on LJ and have become good friends with. Err, with whom I've become good friends? I need editing help! Outdoor wedding, park, 40 degrees, rainy, CHECK.

Tuesday night I'm going to read some of my commuting stories live at a storytelling night!

We get married in about five weeks! Yay!

And, not to overcommercialize the GR, but I'm selling some of my photographic prints to help pay for my wedding attire and other expenses. I won't link, but should be easily enough found, especially if you just ASK. haha

The month after our wedding, I'm performing another, this time with two dear friends who society doesn't believe should be able to marry because neither has a Y chromosome. Boooo, society.

Wow, sorry. Guess that's enough. Just been busy lately! Love and miss you kids.

On the plus side, thanks for the hints about finding extra ideas - I found three in the couch cushions, one of which was an Open Topic idea from season five, boy was it dented and dusty! There was even a hidden idea squashed under the bed, masquerading as a dust bunny. I think the cats must have put it there, to save up for when the required a good idea for taking over the world!

In other news, today is my husband knightaudit's birthday, w00t! We will be going out to dinner later with friends, and this afternoon while he sleeps I will bake him an orange cake (his favorite). =D

Well, I'm going to write one of two ideas; I just don't know which one yet. And, of course, I have even less time than usual, because today I have a choir rehearsal/annual party, and tomorrow I start work at 1:30. They never give me Monday off when I really need it. And I haven't been sleeping well again, and I feel like crap, so I totally have fuzzy brain.

My idea is written and I've gotten a response from one of my two beta readers. I'll have it posted tonight. So nyah :-P

Java is still sleeping. We stayed up until 1:30 and that's way past his usual bedtime. We beta read each other's Idol entries, made cupcakes and watched YouTube videos of funny clips. Oh and we heard voices coming out of my kitchen cabinet. We never did figure that one out.

Oh and while the mint frosting was a success, the cupcakes failed to be. I think I know why now... My recipe calls for a strange ingredient that I used, but I used the wrong kind I suppose. It was missing egg whites. That or my baking powder is too old. We called them cakecups instead and they sucked. Java furthered my grief over being a failure by showing me pretty cupcakes online (that's sarcasm, an inside joke between him and I).

We may try again tonight. We may not. I still have the frosting just in case. We made a mint cream cheese instead of mint buttercream. It sounded more appealing.

I'm kind of grumpy this morning. I'll be running a session in our roleplaying campaign today, but I demanded a sacrifice of bagels before we got started this morning (my players like to appease me, or I do wicked things to their characters), and it has turned into a fiasco. The awesome bagel shop near us was closed, then there was a debate about where to go, and the boys left for a different shop an hour ago and are just now coming back, due to random traffic and everyone else in the entire universe wanting bagels this morning. Raaaaaar!

In other news, ideals and ideas I have an abundance of. I think I'll stash a few in my winter coat pockets for a surprise when it gets cold again.

I already posted my entry on the Ides of March itself and used a spare idea that I had found last week. You people who don't have ideas can feel free to glare at me for having mine up early. I have a box of old ideas I found in my closet. Maybe one of them might be helpful to you?

I actually had two ideas that would have worked this week; one of them was more insistent on being written, though.

I don't have any children, so they can't steal my ideas. I AM, however, a scatterbrain and more than capable of misplacing ideas on my own, haha.

Yesterday was pretty awesome though, even if I didn't have time for writing. We went to the St. Patrick's Day parade, and I must admit to almost crying when the fire department went by. Also there were dancers and plenty of drums. :) Oh, and very pretty horses.

I started playing with my initial idea yesterday.

This morning at work I suddenly had three others that, in my mind, seemed to flow better than my initial idea. Writing them in my head vs. actually writing them, however, is a whole other thing.

So...do I stick with my initial idea? Do I scrap that and go for one of this morning's? I don't know!

I do know I'm going to walk Kidz as soon as I finish eating. It's utterly gorgeous here today!

So to celebrate being back in Australia after two years in Wales, I decided to sit outside on a picnic blanket and read all afternoon on Saturday. Because in Wales I lacked: a back garden, decent weather, sunshine. And it was lovely and the sun was so wonderfully warm and wonderful and it was the best thing ever.

And now my shoulders are still bright red and hurty from the sunburn :(
