“England”, “the United Kingdom”, “UK”, “Great Britain”, “Hogwarts” – whatever you call it, it’s all the same place.

Or, it was a place until a few minutes ago, when it sunk back under the sea, much like “Atlantis” and “Cleveland”, places that cannot actually exist, except in the tall tales of old seafarers who have tried to seduce a manatee one too many times!

So, to those who claim to “live” there, better find somewhere else to pretend that you are from, because we all know, it’s not a real place! You might as well admit that you don’t exist outside a few 0s and 1s inside the vast intratubez!

It will be better for everyone.

Especially ‘Mericans. Which include myself, and my cats. Well, that’s pretty much it for actual residents of ‘Merica and followers of the ‘Merican way, which is people giving me cookies. Which is definitely something worth fighting for!!

I was up way too late last night (not because of Idol- because my neighbor was playing music really loud and then hammering last night about 1am) and overslept this morning, so it's been a slow morning here *yawns*. So, cookies please??!

I have no idea for the new topic yet, but that's par for the course for me. I'll think of something Sunday night and write it Monday at work ;)

I want cookies. Or better yet... Cupcakes. I'm dying to bake, but I just don't find the time or the people to eat my stuff besides me and that's not good.

I've thought about trying my hand at mint chocolate chip cupcakes for St. Pats. I make a killer chocolate cupcake from scratch (which you throw chocolate chips in) and I found a recipe for homemade mint buttercream. Though it asks for a stand mixture to make that, which I don't have. I usually make a simple buttercream and a hand mixer works. This one is more complex but likely would taste better than my other one. Anyone know if I need a stand mixer? Because I still lack in the baking appliances department.

That and I wish I had a way to make the frosting all pretty. I really got off on a tangent here...

Yum, cookies. I may bake tomorrow. Too late for that now, it's almost bedtime (AGAIN! or perhaps that should be, AT LAST!) and it's CFF (Child-Free Friday) tomorrow so that's something to be pretty chuffed about.

No Londons over here. But we do have several other places named after British towns and cities; in fact, I live in one.

OK, bedtime, Greenies. Don't know about this month of doom business, but I definitely have the hips of doom. Must be all that original sin coming back to get me.

Ha! Yes, I know: when my kids are with me, I have no time to write & they're always interrupting me anyhow; when they're not with me, I don't focus as well because I'm aware that there's all sorts of other stuff I can do when they're not around (like catch up on my sleep).

I'll be at a writers retreat this weekend. I expect to find complete chaos when I get back.

Norning, Green Room. I am working from home again today due to being sick, so internet access, yay!

Mmmmm, cookies! Chocolate chip are my favorite, but the only one who ever makes them is our oldest daughter, and she's leaving next month for boot camp and then off to DLI for 18 months. Who will bake me cookies, then?

I am thinking over the topic. I actually started writing something this morning, but something tells this is not a week for poetry, so I'm likely going to do something else.

I'm doing pretty well on this walking thing so far (lol a whole four days). I didn't go yesterday, because I got home later than I expected and ended up feeling too tired, but I actually got out the door before 10:00am today. I wanted to get out a little earlier since I start work at 1:15. I kept it short today so I could get back and shower and get ready for work, but I did it.

I'm trying to get into this with an attitude of not beating myself up (which is haaaaaaaaard). If I have the time, I will walk. If I don't, it's no big deal. Saturday, I know I won't be walking, because I have an earlier start the morning after a late shift, and I know I'll be too tired after work. And that's okay.

Got a whole lot of agita dropped in my lap in a very short span of time, which resulted in a wicked case of stress-induced insomnia. Despite my best efforts to relax, I got less than 3 hours of sleep last night.

It's.... Thursday. Which is decidedly less cool than Friday but still better than Wednesday.

I loved seeing Fetus-In-A-Jar Santorum down in Puerto Rico yesterday telling the Puerto Ricans that they needed to learn and speak English! That was awesome. How do you waltz into somebody else's country and tell them that they need to learn *our* language? lol...

I realized last night that I'm just at about the 10k mark of my current WIP. It sort of made me go "wow" and I thought that was kinda cool. Other than that... and being thankful for surviving a hellish round of Idol... it's just a typical day here at Ye Olde Salt Mine. Hope everybody is doing well!

And.... today begins the Big Dance! Does everybody have their brackets filled out??? GO BEACH!
