We start off with the bad news. Then we get to the worse news. And then we get to the news that you really should call your therapist and arrange for a sit down before you read.

I'll start with the bad.

We had some folks who were unable to make the deadline this week, and so had to drop out. Which means we are losing conflabit and vaguelyclear to that fate.

The worse news is that there were folks who didn't make the deadline and didn't post anything about it. They are just as eliminated. But now we have to hope they are OK on top of everything else!
Goodbye to some definite "fan favorites": annaonthemoon, ceiphiedknight and emo_snal.

Thank you to all of you for coming out this season, and helping to make it special.

If there's an upside to that - it's that you have spared yourself the Doom that is coming to the rest!

Which leads me to the final piece of news.

Some people guessed that this was a "special week" of voting. But no one, that I saw at least, nailed what sort of week it was. It seemed pretty obvious to me, given the subject matter. But then again, I have the cheat sheet. :)

You can choose as many, or few, as you like.

You have until Wednesday, March 14th at 9pm EDT to do so.

At which point, the votes will be counted, and depending on where the "naturally break" is in the votes, we will be losing no less than 10 and no greater than 20 contestants. (regardless of "tribe")

I think it's fair to say, Doom has arrived.

Also, anyone know off-hand how many contestants are now in this weeks voting? I want to make sure to be able to double check when I make a list on who to vote and who to not, so I don't leave someone off.

I guess I leave off the 7 who ARE contestants but just joined for SCI...

If anyone comes up with the info, I'm open to it. I just want to make an accurate list. Sometimes when clicking back and forth, I might overlook someone and I don't want that to happen.

Ooh, Contestant Only. Now I'm kind of glad I didn't make it :P

In truth, last week, I sprained my wrist - my writing wrist - which explains why I had an Executive Bye, but turns out, I actually tore something, so I haven't been able to write since then (and typing has only recently gotten better). Since I'm old school and like to write out my entries before typing them up, I wasn't able to do so this week, so I had to drop instead. It sucks, but that's the way it goes sometimes. Besides, if it hadn't been my wrist now, I have no doubt that it would have been RL later.

Anyway, I'll definitely try and Home Game it when I can and I'll pop in from time to time, too. Good luck to everyone still remaining, especially for this week and for however many more Doom weeks you have ahead of you ;D

I actually had a feeling about this, because I wasn't seeing any clues towards gatekeepers, but the comment this morning about how we were going to be biting our nails led me to believe that we wouldn't be able to see a poll. I've read through a lot of entries already, but I didn't comment or update my spreadsheet because I wasn't sure if we would be voting. Time for me to get to work I suppose!

I don't understand where the line is drawn for how many stay and how many go. Not going to lie, I really dislike it :/

You can see it in most polls, there's a point where there is a break between the "did really well" and the "did not do as well". In some cases that gap is bigger than others. Which is why I can't guarantee that it's going to be X number of people.

What I can say though is that the list is going to include at least 10 people, but if there is only a small gap between votes, and including them would push it over the 20 person limit, that I'm not going to do it.

I edited my entry after a beta-read, prior to deadline. I just got another comment in my email and noticed my edits didn't take. I just tried to re-edit, figuring I'd drop Gary an explanation email. The edits still won't take. I am so angry about this I can barely breathe. Please help? Someone?
