I thought I was working today. I automatically snapped awake at my usual time. I thought my heart was going to burst through my chest. When it dawned on me that no, I'm off today, I slid back down into the covers and tried to fall back asleep. No go :(

Today is rest and recovery. Gah, I'm getting too old for this crap :p

I saw nothing from the Super Bowl. I heard that Madonna was either too old for her performance or awesome. Opinions on my FB friends list seemed to be split about 50-50.

Weekend was pretty satisfying... husband's parents watched our son and we got to go out to eat and see a movie. Son slept from 7:15 pm to 6:45 am without us having to go in to him at all. He is almost walking, I think. :D

I, for one, am very glad to see the end of this weekend. We were busy, as expected, which would be fine if only my vertigo hadn't been acting up and getting progressively worse since Thursday.

The only real good thing was that my coworkers at the service desk took pity on me and helped to minimize the amount of time I spent covering a checklane, which is the part of the job that makes me the dizziest. My job may suck, but at least I work with nice people.

And our schedule was revised, so I'm off today instead of working, so I have all day to work on getting my entry done.

I was very satisfied indeed with the two video games I picked up -- the dual pack of "Uncharted: Drake's Fortune" and "Uncharted 2: Among Thieves". I finished the first on Sunday afternoon and went right to work on the second one after the Super Bowl. This is a damn good series, I can't believe I overlooked it this long. I'll definitely be picking up the third one if the second one is as good as the first was (and so far it gives every indication that it will be).

I had delicious ravioli from the takeout I ordered on Friday. That was satisfying. Also, I FINALLY wrapped a Winter Gift-Giving Holiday present that should have been wrapped and given a long time ago. The person for whom I bought and wrapped the present shouldn't care that it's so delayed, but I'm super-happy I finally got the thing done and ready to give. My wrapping job is pretty terrible, but it's recognizably a gift wrapped for giving. ^_^

I kinda-sorta started work on my Delayed Due Date Term Paper of Doom, so that was satisfying, too? Maybe. At least I kinda-sorta started it?

I've been sleeping reasonably well, so that's satisfying, but I could still use more hours of sleep.

*crosses fingers*

I hope my sleep aid is truly working and my actual sleeping isn't a fluke!

It always feels good to have stuff done that's been hanging over your head for a while. And hey, a start is better than nothing on the term paper.

You sound like my husband kind of with the sleep - dude needs like 10 to 11 hours a day. I only need six hours or so, so I get to see him asleep a lot. :)

I found createspace.com and amazon publishing aids and have two books avalable now.
beyound that I say no more - dont want to advertise here.
I've been looking for a free or at lest really low cost way to self publish for a long time.

I was satisfied by the Superbowl results, woot!

I was also satisfied with the batch of homemade cheeseburger-macaroni that I made, even though I made FAR too much. I cooked two pounds of elbow macaroni because we were having some friends and their four kids over (the kids range from 6-15 years) and while I did want leftovers, I've got enough to bring lunch to work every day this week, LOL. Ah well - at least it's tasty stuff, although I'm sure to be tired of it before Friday!

I was also satisfied with the article I found for my topic, because it inspired me and I got my groove on at the same time. =)

It was a very satisfying weekend indeed. Though not long enough. They never are, are they? We decided to forgo the Stupid Bowl... so named because both teams in it were stupid... though I am glad to see that the lesser of the two stupid evils won. Any time I Brady and Hoodie cry is a good time to me!

We opted for a wonderful hike yesterday. Had some adventures, got a bit muddy and wore ourselves out. It was a ton of fun.

Nothing is really snapping for me so I'm probably going to end up taking my second bye this week. Which is *very* unsatisfying. But what are you gonna do? You can't squeeze blood from a stone.

On the bright side, I got a new suit on clearance on Friday night, so that was very good news. I needed some clothes for court and this fell into my lap. Also bright side- my kids are very cute. Oh, and the Giants won the superbowl.

Otherwise, I just need more TIME.. for everything.

The weekend was kind of meh. Kent's been sick and had to take two days of PTO. He's doing much better, but I still don't like his cough. However, I'm betting they won't like it at work, either....and you know what happens when you're sick and work at a hospital? They send your ass to the doctor, which I couldn't get him to do.

In good news, just when I thought I was going to have to take my second bye, something finally found me. Phew! Thank the gods for my personal group of cheerleaders keeping me from throwing in the towel this morning. :)

I got my home game entry done late Friday night! The dark red dragon (http://medleymisty.livejournal.com/161630.html)

It's kind of cheating though, because it's something that is current in my town and is in my local news, but someone close to me is pretty involved so I already knew about it and had already thought about it a lot, so yeah.

So my weekend was free. As for what satisfied me - yesterday I contemplated working on all my various writing projects or just writing a normal LJ entry not related to Idol or fiction, which is something I haven't done in a while.

But instead, I loaded up Sims 3. :) First time I've played the game just for fun in ages!

The first family I played for hours and then took a break for dinner. When I got back from dinner, I found that the game had a save error. But I had a backup file! So I was all yaaaay! But then the backup did indeed restore the file. To where it was before I'd started playing. *headdesk*

I couldn't face playing through everything again, so I went to play another family for a while, being sure to keep up two different save files with them. And tonight I think I'll go play some more, and I'll be sure to update the backups.

It was really fun though. :)

I haven't been able to play The Sims in ages... I'd kill for one day of nothing but playing The Sims 3. Not saying you did that, but saying I envy your ability to play at all. My laptop isn't really good with it, my old desktop died years ago. And there's that whole issue of having no time...

This weekend, my boyfriend wrote the first fictional piece I've ever seen him write over the course of our 2+ years relationship - the third out of our friendship (well over six years, if that's any clue!) You may recall him as the briefly participating gideonwolfe (but more than likely not, since it was only the one entry.)

And I'm kind of geekishly thrilled because it will be going into a SW: TOR podcast soon, with sound effects and someone reading it and everything. And one of my characters is in it as well, so I'm preening over that too, and... well, let's just say that I'm in a HURRAY BOYFRIEND IS COOL mood. :D

Y'all, I have not even looked at this Green Room yet.

I did get my post up, with an hour to spare, and this is one of those rare moments when I am absolutely happy with it.

Seriously. Mark the calendar.

It could be the sleep deprivation. See, I found this stupid game online and I kid you not it kicked me off about ten am with a message that said I'd met their 24-hour limit, and while they were glad I enjoyed the game, I might want to think about doing something else for a while like going outside and getting some fresh air.

I slept for an hour and a half and then commenced working on my entry. Which I could've done days ago because I found the article Friday night or Saturday morning.

And this is the long rambly comment that probably won't get seen b/c it's so late.

I'ma flop on the GR sofa and nap til the poll.
