I've heard people say that their one vote doesn't matter. I've even been reading some people who have said, due to LJ being LJ, that they weren't going to vote this time around.

It's a shame. Because if last round taught us how important each and every vote is, then this week should hammer it home. There is not a single result this week determined by more than 1 vote!!

That right there should say it all about just how tight this competition is at the moment.

Another factor this week, and one that we are getting to before we handle the actual results, is the matter of bouncing immunities.

seratonation handed it off to alleyalligator
diagenou surprised no one and gave it to walkertxkitty
createdestiny threw Tribe 4 into a tailspin and used it on behalf of waveform_delta, who was saved from elimination.

and one went unused, vanishing from the competition as a result.

Two of five tribes resulted in ties, including the previously mentioned Tribe 4. Which means that the Redemption Tribe is getting just a little bit bigger.

The contestants joining that tribe next week are: poppetawoppet and seratonation from Tribe 3
malruniel11, mirrorfortress and vaudy from Tribe 4

In Tribe 1, we have a sacrifice that saved anyone else from the tribe from being eliminated.

done_talking is leaving us, and asked me to post the following:
"The purpose of this alt account was to see how long a poetry-only, without friend support or self-promotion of any kind, could survive at the whims of fellow contestants. The writer would like to thank everyone who read, commented, and voted... but does not want to see any more real people eliminated because of an experiment."

Which leaves us down to two people leaving us. Which seems to be the theme.

Thank you to both of you for coming out. I always say this, but I hope you are paying attention and take this to heart. I'm really glad that you have come out this season, and I hope that you decide to Home Game it, because you never can be too sure what is going to happen next, but you can be damn sure that I would at some point, drop a hint or two. :)

Wow. What a crazy results, but I guess every week is crazy in Idol, huh?

One vote certainly can make a big difference. So many people were close to the bottom and one vote could have changed a lot. I was sad to see voting numbers down. There was so many great entries this week.

All these writers leaving us or going into redemption have put out stuff I've enjoyed. I'm really sad to see all these names here. They better stick around or I'll be sad :(

Another sad moment in the Idol Game. Saying goodbye. The three leaving have done wonderful entries and I will miss reading them. I hope the Home Game is in the future for you all, or maybe some weird twist for getting back into the game.

It's always sad when people choose not to vote. I rarely have time to vote in each tribe and I feel horrible for it but I'd never intentionally not vote to make a statement.

Livejournal was giving people some difficulty and confusion when casting/editing/adding their votes; it looked like their votes were being erased for all but one person. That's the issue I was aware of, at least! There might've been more.

I am amazed, horrified in fact that people don't vote. I vote for so many, and this time read every entry!!! I want to, as each one has some knowledge to impart, some vital truth to learn by opening your mind and just reading them.

For anyone who's curious, this week's entry was hinted at in week 1 (http://lynxypoo.livejournal.com/146947.html). This entry was about a dream I had on March 28, 2011, where Papi Robert thanked me for visiting him in the hospital in his coma. Half an hour after I woke up from this dream, we got the call that he had passed away. It was all very surreal... I wanted to incorporate some of that into the entry, but I couldn't get it to not sound cheesy or "too obvious".

*shrug* I'll definitely be sticking around, though work requirements have left me unable to green room much lately...

I have to say I totally didn't see that by using my bouncing immunity to save someone from elimination I inadvertently threw three people from that tribe into next week's redemption tribe......

What happens with tribe redemption? Did the lowest points person get dropped? I'm confused. Am I stuck in tribe redemption until I eventually get voted off?

As it has worked all season long (thus far), Tribe Redemption stays in effect until there isn't a tie.

Had two tribes not ended up that way (sending more people into Redemption) this week, you would be back out there. If ties can be avoided next week, you will be back then.

I was going. I was. Now I am not. I had the fewest votes, and I was fine with that, as I do not have a huge following or do I get a mass quantity of votes. In fact, at one time, I was behind someone who had a Bye week and still was getting votes. In some ways, a lot of people are promoted and promote themselves, and some are gosh darn good writers. I am lucky just to make it each week...

It was a really close call this week for lots of people. A lot of great writers have gone, but a lot also remain. (I'm even having trouble voting, as there are so many great entries.) The challenge is getting a lot more interesting as time goes one, which just makes it a lot more fun.

Every week I think, "I'm going to be careful with my votes, especially in my tribe" and every week I think, "Oh, crap - I can't NOT vote for stuff this good!"

My problem is wanting to be fair, I find it much harder NOT to vote for entries. They are good in different ways!
At least the sheer numbers are down which will make reading a little faster.
