My week is going OK, if you discount the bits where I'm supposed to be teaching a lab today and I have no idea what I'm doing, thanks to flooding canceling the department meeting. grumble.

I'm a quarter of the way through typing up my novel! Whee! Wait, I can't do maths. Actually just under a third of the way through. EVEN BETTER. Going to try and get my reading done tomorrow after work, sorry in advance if I don't get to comment much :(

My week? Typical. I've decided I really hate working. but the alternative is being homeless and that isn't good at all. So off to work I'll go. The phone interview from yesterday was okay, I guess. I don't think I'd like that job. The problem is I don't like any job I'm qualified for since I don't like sitting at an office all day staring at spreadsheets and my resume says all I can do is finance! Yay, huh?

I've only finished my tribe and there was a lot of good stuff there. I voted for a good chunk of my tribe. I did think nodressrehersal was surprisingly low when I looked yesterday. I liked that entry, so check it out. And michikatinski wrote a really good piece too. I haven't voted or looked at the other polls, that's what tonight will likely be about if my dog will let me :)

We are on for Baltimore, so last night and this morning has been a super rush of getting things organized and packed and such. I got through my tribe already, but I'm not sure how much more I'll be able to read since I'll be in workshops for the rest of the week.

Loaded up some new audiobooks on my phone (I finished Bossypants yesterday, super funny!) and got a new book or two from paperbackswap, so I should be good for the bus ride from NY. Today will be a mess of traveling, though: an hourlong train or bus from the suburbs to NYC, where I'll get the bus to b-more, which will take 3 or 3 1/2 hours, then another hour on public transportation from where that lets off to our hotel. WHEW.

Good morning, Green Room! I get to go to the DMV today. Except here in Albuquerque, it's called the MVD. What's up with that? Also trying out hot yoga today. I enjoy regular yoga, though I haven't really done too much of it, so am kind of excited about hot yoga. After spending the past two days in bed doing a whole lot of not much, it'll be nice to have a productive day, I think. ^_^

I feel like the entries this week are top notch. Voting is hard because everything is just so good!

This week is just... no bueno. People are being buttmunches for no good reason other than the fact that they can and it is against the rules to smack 'em upside the head.

I know I'm not commenting on entries, but guys, I really am reading. This is a hard week to vote in, everyone's put up nice work.

Oh, and my husband has decided that he's going to give up the internet (except for home email and work-related internetting) for Lent. He thinks that I need to join him in that. I laughed. A lot.

I'm having problems with the poll. :( See, I read my tribe first, in order, and vote in order, and I haven't had the time this week to do my voting all at once. I *won't* have the time to do my voting all at once this week. Normally when I have to go back and fill out the poll after I've started voting, all the boxes I've checked...well...show up as checked! But every time I've gone back this time around, only my first vote has shown up as checked. Which means all but one person I want to vote for isn't actually getting my vote.

Not sure what's with this glitch, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to withdraw my vote altogether in order to be fair. :(

Good morning, Green Room. It's been a busy morning here at work and I made my coffee way too weak this morning. Surprisingly, I'm still feeling pretty good.

Just had a conversation with my co-workers about how a guy that refers to himself as "The Techinator" needs to get punched in the face. Whether he's going the Arnold route or the decorator route.

More reading today, I hope! Discussing with office mate if we should order pizza for lunch, which is always a good time for reading.

Wow, don't you people work during the weekdays?

Well, I just had my first test of the quarter. I think I did pretty well, but I won't find out until next week. Right now, I'm watching people put a new roof on the apartment building across from mine. I'm thinking about taking some pictures of all the damages trees we have here from the ice storm last week. I also need to finish my photo scavenger hunt.

Mornin' Folks... long weird day is long and weird. Woke up in the middle of the night from a horrific nightmare. Getting back to sleep last night didn't happen too well. And the damn thing is still disturbing me and I can't puzzle out what (if any) meaning it has. Ugh. I'm sleepy and ready to go home.

I had one of those nightmares a couple weeks ago. Woke up in the middle of the night from it and was seriously disturbed. I had to get up and go walk around, read something, have a snack over the course of 30 minutes all so I wouldn't go back to sleep and continue the nightmare.

Be damned if I can even remember what it was about now, but it freaked me right out.

I was sick as a dog yesterday. I took the day off from work, even though I really don't have enough leave credits. Slept 18 hours yesterday, but I'm still pretty far from "alright".

The worst part is that I can't concentrate enough to read anything more than a few sentences long... So I haven't read any of the entries for this week. I apologize to my fellow competitors; you deserve my attention, and I wish I could give it to you.

I'm going to stop whining now and try to get back to work.

I just applied for the best possible job for me. I'm afraid it could already be filled, but I figured it was worth a shot anyway.

It's for a real estate developer that focuses on providing housing for the homeless and in making social changes in the community. It's a company like I worked for in South Carolina and it would be so perfect for me considering fighting poverty and homelessness is my passion.

Keep your fingers crossed for me, please? This would be a dream come true for me!

I think life just kinda sucks this week. I'm not normally the negativity fairy, but the way I've been seeing people act towards each other and to me, the way people are nearly killing me and hurting others with their driving, the way people are sick and dying around me, the way life is going in general, I'm voting that we start the week over.

On the other hand, there's lots of good writing over in the polls! I've not been commenting much (lack of time), but I'm reading and loving what I'm seeing!

There is, as usual, lots of awesome writing going on. Two entries that stick out in my mind right now are those of zhent & crimsonplum. Of course, the one by crimsonplum doesn't seem to need my help at all in the polls right now! I think zhent's piece could use some more love, though. :)

My week has been okay, except I woke up this afternoon (yeah, my sleep schedule is screwy like whoa) to the water in my room's sink...not turning on. There was just no water at all, not even that annoying creepy brownish water that goes away after you run the faucet for 5 minutes. Now, I need to call the management company for my building and/or my building's super again, as I called the building people yesterday to fix the broken hall toilet. Sadly, calling the company; talking to a human while using coherent actual words; and getting the toilet fixed counted as a huge accomplishment to me. I was like, "look I'm a Real Adult now because I can deal with wonky plumbing by getting someone else to deal with it!"
