Whoa, how did I get first so early on a Monday morning when my phone is always so slow? Oh it's not slow because it's Monday, it's just always slow. My brain is slow because it's Monday though. maybe being first is a good sign for the day. Like maybe my meeting with Evil One won't be so evil (yeah right).

java_fiend stayed over this weekend, as usual. No, I didn't kick him though I know that would make Gary happy. We had a great weekend together, as always :)

I'm finishing my entry tonight after work. I nudged at least one person so far. I doubt I'll have time for more nudging today... But everyone should get their entry in. Please?

I think feeling crappy is your body's way of trying to get you back into the status quo of NOT working out. Once you get past the first few weeks, your body grumbles a bit but has adjusted to the fact that You Are Really DOING This, and you start feeling better... at least that's the theory.

So, (and forgive me if this has been discussed before), what is the general consensus on length of an entry? I ask because I had this idea for an entry/story this week and in typing it out in Word, I've found it to be around 6 pages...longer than anything other entry I've posted thus far. I'd be willing to not worry about it, except that I've seen comments on entries shorter than this about how long it was. I've attempted to pare it down, but I don't think I can without losing necessary points.

Maybe a better question is: Who here is turned off by a lot of reading in a post? Are you going to come across an entry, scroll to see how long it is and then say "Yeah, that's way too long. Moving on!"

My weekend was alright. Spent time with my baby (including too much time comforting her while she was cranky), made some jewelry for my shop, watched several episodes of Soap on Netflix, spent time with my love, and did some laundry.

As I posted elsewhere, I am bowing out of Idol.

My head is really not in the game this year. I'm not happy with most of what I've written this season; last season I had the structure of most of my pieces as an exercise in exorcism of old ghosts, whether in first-person confessionals or third-person fiction.

This season I am just floundering. The only piece even worth considering for salvage for a possible expansion or rework is the "Narcissism" piece. Everything else I have written this season falls under "nicely decorated bits of dreck".

I appreciate those who've read along so far. I'm sorry I haven't been very good with commenting.

This weekend... Saturday I spent watching Star Trek (I think The Next Generation? with Picard and Data, that one) and crocheting. Sunday I spent watching football. You know from that last sentence that I was also quite sick because I don't even like football. And that was my activity of choice. Shame, shame. (I do feel bad for all of our very sad, disappointed friends, though. SO CLOSE, 'niners, SO CLOSE.)

This is my least favorite time of the year, even if it is almost time to file taxes (the greatest thing EVER, no kidding). This week is going to blow, so I'm sorry in advance for my cranky pants.

I had a pretty relaxed weekend. Didn't have to feed horses on Sunday so I got to watch CBS Sunday Morning, which I try to watch every weekend I can manage. Charles Osgood makes me happy. Wrote my entry, which I'm pretty pleased with. Spent time with my boyfriend and fooled around with ham radio stuff. Built my very first antenna all by myself! Got into Downton Abbey something fierce last night. It's so wonderful! Now I'm at work for the afternoon.

Fresh off another wonderful weekend with pixie117, I stumbled into the office with the typical Monday morning fog still hanging around me. I got into my typical morning routine and then discovered that *somebody* had thieved the entire can of coffee I'd purchased last week. The f'ing thing was just gone.

Needless to say, I am beyond furious. It's so screwed up that we can't have *anything* in our office for fear that some douchenozzle is going to steal it. I am 99.9% sure I know who the culprit is but without any hard evidence, I can't say a word. But I'm pissed. Way pissed.

So that person I'd like to kick in the head... hard and repeatedly until they're deeeeeed.

Luckily, my co-worker saw my rant on FB about it and she brought in a can. Thankfully. So I'm properly caffeinated and a little less ragey. But it still sucks ass that I have to keep things locked up tight in my own office. Douchebags.
