I have something nice to say!
Here's a list of five nice things:

1. I like LJ Idol a lot. It brightens my week.

2. I'm filling out job applications, instead of procrastinating on them. This makes me feel good.

3. I'm going to cadets tonight and I'm looking forward to it. They're some of the best young people I've ever come across and never fail to make me proud.

4. This weekend I caught up with old friends and was reminded of how much fun that can be.

5. I think that everyone in LJ Idol is smart and interesting and intelligent, and everyone rocks in their own way. I feel like you should all know this.

I have to say that I'm getting really tired of all of these applicants and interviewees. Three departments here are hiring and I'm going through applications like there's no tomorrow.

And then Alejandro moved in and things just got worse. (I've named this particular round of sickness. Like a hurricane, y'know? Alejandro is the first of the year.) He's really just stuck his germy little nose in and messed up my whole week. And it's only Tuesday.

But we find out today what gender my boss' baby is! I'm voting for girl. She has two boys already, it's time for a girl. That and I have really cute pink fabric to make a blanket with.

Nice things to say, huh? Well umm it's Tuesday? I know that the closer I get to the weekend, the better I feel... Though it's not very close. It's at least closer than Monday was. Though it's my office duty day today, so I'll have to answer phones and whatnot. We don't have a receptionist, all the lowly admins do those tasks on top of everything else. We split it up throughout the week though. Last week, I had a creepy guy hitting on me over the phone, and once I had an irate woman who made no sense tell me I'm so stupid, I probably didn't even know the President of the United States name. I wonder what joys today will hold?

I'm in Campground Kizzy again (very little oil left in the tank), but this time around it's easier to manage.

Ember is much more chipper this morning! She's on a bland diet for the next few days. Let's hope her bloodwork doesn't show anything :crosses fingers:

SO's client out in TX adores him. This is a long-range project with the possibility of FT employment :)

Mornin' Folks...

Nice things to say, huh? Well how about... I'm sure there's something more evil than Gary in this universe! Not sure what it is, but I'm sure it exists! :-p

Honestly, Idol... and Gary because he *is* Idol... have given me much that I am very, very, very thankful for. I've re-learned some discipline and keeping to a schedule. It's also given me the chance to meet a lot of really great people... some who have literally changed my life. It's also given me opportunities I never anticipated and has me working toward new goals which have me thoroughly excited about the life ahead of me.

Gary puts in a *ton* of hard work for all of us in keeping this joint running every day. I personally don't think he gets nearly enough credit and probably catches a little more crap than he deserves. We don't see just how much time and effort he puts in, out of his own life and free time, behind that curtain but I do know that it's pretty damn substantial. And I think we all owe him a big, big debt of thanks for that.

Hope the day is better for you, Gary. Thanks for all of your hard work. It really doesn't go unnoticed.

But everything you say is true. Everyone should be nice to Gary and show their appreciation. What he does takes a lot of time and effort. He doesn't have to do this for us, yet he does. And I know Idol has changed my life in many ways. I'm very grateful he created this group.

I am home from work again - sick for the second time this year. I'm sure my employers are les than happy with me, but quite frankly I don't give a FF. I went in yesterday and everyone around could see that i was ill. I have taken some very good drugs and am feeling a lot closer to human this afternoon.
