In case you missed it, Mitt Romney used his pocket change from the campaign to purchase LJ, and has fired everyone.

Here in the corner of the universe known as Idol, we are going to go ahead and get some stuff done regardless, until he comes in and shuts us down, hopefully giving us each our own planet. I don’t know about you, but I’ve always wanted my own planet!

I’m already amassing my army so that as soon as you get them, we will launch a full strike to expand our imaginary territory! Why? Because, much like Civilization, I don’t like it when my neighbors are too close! You should see what happened to the guy in the apartment next door!!!

Today will be a good day. I gets my car back today!!! Woooo Hooooo! That makes me very happy. Giving back the tin can on wheels I've been driving around with a kick in its trunkside will make me even happier!

Still working my way through the entries! I'm hoping for a mellow day here at the office so I can get some *real* work done.

Tonight the hubby and I and minikin and Flar will be going out to a Mystery Dinner Theater. A local wine bar is hosting a play called Boston Lethal, a parody of the TV show "Boston Legal." There is a wine tasting beforehand, then dinner & the play. I'm not much into wines, but I'm excited to go since we are all huge "Boston Legal" fans, and it sounds like tons of fun!

AHH MY LIFE IS BUSY!

My contract finished in 6 weeks, I have nothing lined up yet, I just aquired part time supervision of a summer school student, and I still have to get my thesis bound and submitted so I can graduate. Oh. And write 4 papers. And try to come up with a funding propsal. In Six Weeks.


And I am trying to cook more (I have bought awesome bentos to uni twice this week, and am currently supping on homemade museli and greek yoghurt).

Weirdly, I am not freaking out.

I have a question:

Do people ever comment on things that upset/offend them while reading entries? It doesn't happen often to me, but once in a while I will read a post that actually offends me (which is pretty hard to do), and I never know if I should just leave it and not comment (which is what I always end up doing), or if I should say something.

Not saying anything seems the better choice, but I'm just curious how other people feel about it.

It depends. I do sometimes speak up if I find something highly offensive and think something should be said about it. If I am in an especially argumentative mood, you better bet I will. It also depends on what it is, who the person is, etc.

It's one of those "use your best judgment deals". There are some people I know better than to get into it with (not in Idol, but in RL... those are idiots who I know disagreeing with will only raise my blood pressure and nothing more).

I somehow managed to finish reading before it got too late last night. Votes are in. I didn't take Annabelle to the dog park because I wanted to read. She punished me by crying at 3 am to go potty. That never happens and I took her out as often as I normally do... Hmm.

I finished so quick, I'm afraid I missed a whole page or something... Gonna go back and check though I'm pretty confident I didn't. I'm just strange like that.

We got a dusting of snow here today, or rather overnight. I was hoping for a snow day from work, but no such luck. It's rather slippery outside. We're supposed to get freezing rain now, but that hasn't happened yet so maybe we'll luck out.

Fargo is lying by my feet snoring. I think he finds this office a bore.
