Anyone else having unseasonably warm weather? It is supposed to be in the low 70s today. I'm cutting out coffee filter snowflakes with all of the windows open and it just seems WRONG.

So I managed to get an appointment yesterday afternoon to see my PCP's physician assistant. She prescribed me some Flexeril (a muscle relaxant) for the TMJ symptoms, and suggested that I take one before bed at night to see if it will help. I took one last night, and although I did wake up briefly with some pain in my jaw, it wasn't as bad as it had been on Sunday, so I guess that's something.

I also was finally able to get my flu shot (being diabetic, I try to get one every year) so that was an added bonus to the last-minute appointment.

Still not sure what to write about, but I'll figure it out!

I got coffee from The Other Machine this morning and there's just something not quite right about it. I knew we should have stopped at 7-11. :(

In other news, though, our Food City (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jessiestanton/6464405445/) is growing! (Recap: food donation drive at work, skipping the ugly barrels and building a city with the food.) A vendor made a really big donation yesterday and the city almost doubled in size. Hooray!

Neuro-psych testing is always interesting. I always think I'd be in trouble if they were trying to assess me post concussion because I know one of the things they make you do is count backwards by 7s and that's a challenge for me on a good day.

I'm working on an idea for Bupkis but so far nothing.

I'm resting and watching TV (last night's Hawaii 5-0). In about an hour I'll have to go pick up my daughter and run some errands.

I think I have finished the travel arrangements for the weekend. Hopefully that will all work out okay. Nothing like traveling with 5 pre-teen/teenagers, 11 horses and 5 adults.

I'm dealing with a professor who apparently sucks at communicating by email, so that's fun.

Bupkis is the title of one of my favorite episodes of the Dick Van Dyke show (http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xbfwtd_the-dick-van-dyke-show-bupkis_fun).

He writes a song called "Bupkis" and gets into a battle about royalty rights. Its really pretty funny.
