Results - Week 6

This has been a wild week. DDoS attacks and a community only vote (fairly unpredictable to begin with) combined to make for some extremely close results. In pretty much every tribe, a vote or two would have made the difference in who is leaving us.

Which I think is a testimony to the level of talent this season, and a reminder that every vote counts. I really wasn't sure what the results were going to be for most of the tribes when I just "close poll", and that's exciting!

Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to some folks this week. It's never an easy thing to do, and certainly doesn't get any easier the further we go.

Thank you for everything. I know that I say this every week - but that's because it's true every week - that you will be missed, and I hope that you stick around, because you never can be too sure when there might be a chance to jump back into the competition!

You may have noticed that there were only four eliminations, and yet, there are five tribes! That is because one of them ended in a tie, which means, starting next week Tribe Redemption makes a return, featuring

Awwww! I'm bummed too, but I was up against some really great entries. I kept hitting refresh on the vote page and within 5 mins of the polls closing, the 3-way tie for elimination became just me.

Maybe I'll be a lucky one and get a 2nd chance later on down the road during this season. :)

I read both the tribe redemption entries less than an hour ago. I feel so close to them.

I know I voted for one of them. But I'm not sure about the other one. The last couple of hours are a blur for me. One thing I do know is that when it comes to that sort of rush hour reading, an entry needs to grab my attention pretty darn quickly or I might not stick with it. Sad, but true. But I think I did give everyone a shot at grabbing my attention this week.

I was amazed at how tight the tribes were this time -- at one point today, Tribe 5 had I think 5 people tied at the bottom. So yes, one vote really can make all the difference in the world.

Sorry to see these names go, but hopefully there'll be a future chance to get back in or at least the home game.

Better late than never, I suppose. I'm sad to see some great writers go again this week. It will be a trend, I know. It's what we do here. I know. Still, I was hoping to read more of recklessblues in particular.
