Vote - Week 4

A few words from clauderainsrm:

Fresh off a week where we asked ""What does narcissism have to do with me?" followed by pushing back the deadline, I think it's pretty obvious what is going on next.

It's been talked about for quite some time. Sometimes it's been a joke. Sometimes it's been a threat.

This time though, "Gary Only Voting"


is absolutely not happening.

It's a standard poll. Everyone can vote.

Before we get to it though, we have some sad business to handle.

This week, there were two drop outs. (People who decided that, due to RL issues, that they needed to drop out of the competition):

There were also some that ended up being "bye-out"s. It happens. Sometimes, despite your best intentions, you just never gain your footing in the competition and miss a few entries early on.

Unlike last week, these are people that we have met - and read - before. Which makes it a little bit harder to know that we won't be seeing anything more from them.

That said, it only comprises roughly half of the people eligible to "bye out" this round, which means that the rest of them were able to show up with an entry this week, and keep up their fight to stay in.

Which gives me hope that other people putting themselves into that same situation over the last couple of weeks will be able to do the same!

It is sad, but it also puts everyone else that much closer to the Top 250 of this season.

The contestant with the entry that receives the fewest votes, in each tribe, will be eliminated.

I hardly got to read anything last week, but I hit 25k (and then a few hours later, 27k) with my NaNo tonight, so I'm hoping I'll be able to do some more reading now that I'm a little bit ahead as opposed to a little bit behind. <3

So that's what I was forgetting yesterday! Weekend turned unexpectedly crazy (went to stay one night at parents' on Saturday, and am only now getting even close to going back home because my dad's an inconsiderate git and I didn't want to leave my mom with responsibility for something she didn't really have time for); I hope I'll be able to make up for the crazy by giving people some reading and commenting love now that I've no poll to worry about (sloppy, sloppy, self!).

Can I just say that I've become addicted to reading idol entries? There is just some dang good stuff out there and I never know what I'll get when I click an entry. I keep saying "just one more entry..." and then it's "just one more tribe.." and I have a hard time pulling myself away to do anything else.

So needless to say, I'm going to try and read everyone again this week (it's not like I have to force myself to do so), and hopefully I'll post my rec list this time week :)

Is it just me, or have people really stepped it up this week? I mean, I've just voted in my tribe, and I'm thinking I need to do something to get shifted somewhere else, because my tribe is full of clever, articulate people and lovely penises. It's intimidating!
