I had a horrible nightmare last night, which wasn't just scary thanks to dream logic (which is what my nightmares usually are) but actually hit square on some of my worst fears. So that had me pretty rattled.

My cat found a pair of toy mice that had ended up behind my bed at some point. They rattle pretty good, too.

I'm on the home stretch of my current cross-stitch project, which is going to be a Christmas gift for my American family. I'm super stoked about this. It's this one (http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Love-Ornament__DIM-70-08845.aspx), and I got the whole set so I know what they're getting for the next few years. ;)

I think I must have had some kind of nightmare, too (though I don't remember it), because I woke up this morning with tears in my eyes. At least, I was either scared or very, very sad. Hopefully you won't have any nightmares tonight :D

Okay, commenting with something a bit more than mere Halloween complaints...

Nothing spooked or rattled my soul this weekend. I think I was too busy dominating my assignments for anything to rattle me. I am officially finished, wheee! I dropped something in to the printer today, so as soon as I can pick that up - I'm hoping tomorrow - I can hand all my assignments in, and say adios to the semester. It's a good feeling.

Aside from that, I did some shopping today and saw Warrior, which was fantastic! Who knew a movie about mixed martial arts could be so interesting and moving? Tomorrow, my Mum has her second-last round of post-chemo. antibody treatments, which is pretty exciting, and the Melbourne Cup is on, which is also pretty exciting. Wed. and Thurs. I have class, and Fri. I'm meeting up with my aunt and uncle for dinner (they're visiting from Melbourne). So, a busy week, but it should be a fun one :D

Could be the weather? I think I ate like five meals Friday when it first got cold. Saturday wasn't bad, but yesterday it was cold enough for socks indoors again, and I ended up giving up on not being hungry.

I'm going to work this afternoon, but I have a treat bucket to tie to the doorknob when I leave. Hopefully it'll stay attached and not disappear with the first round of kids. ;)

My weekend was incredibly busy! Saturday, we had our regular library visit, followed by a fall festival where my youngest goes to PDO, followed by a friend's daughter's birthday party, followed by the fall festival at my husband's church. Yesterday was a bit slower, but we did make a run to Big Lots and then have Trunk or Treat back at my son's PDO church. They've got tons of candy that I'm doing my best to ignore.

Tonight, we might be going out for more trick or treating. Some of it's going to depend on the weather. I'm really looking forward to next weekend when all I'll be doing is cleaning!

I forgot to buy a witches hat or some accessory to wear to work today for the Halloween party today. Boo. I'll be teased about that since my office takes Halloween very seriously!

I know Gary will find it terrifying that I had java_fiend for two nights instead of one this weekend! We had an agenda of baking cookies, carving pumpkins and watching movies... We baked cookies and napped instead. Pumpkins remain uncarved. We will carve them a week late.

To celebrate Halloween, I am playing Amnesia: The Dark Descent. I love scary videogames, I played most of the Silent Hills and Resident Evils and Fatal Frames.

But Amnesia is so fracking scary that it's almost not fun. If you like scary games, you need to look this one up.

Then later today, we're going to finish pumpkin carving - we want to line the driveway in jack-o-lanterns. We got candy queued up and ready, the kids' costumes are set, and I'm limbering up my wagon-pullin' arm. They're finally old enough to be just on the cusp of 'getting' Halloween. Wooo!

I'm the only one at work who is dressed up... again. These people are no fun.

Good weekend, lot's of snow. rumplebuttkins and I sat on the couch Saturday and watched 5 movies in a row. Yesterday spent time with family. My son turned out not to have strep, thank goodness, but he did have an ear infection and is on meds.

can't wait to take him Trick or treating tonight! It's weird because it will be the first one without his dad, so I hope he's okay.

Right now I should be writing my entry. But it's nearly bedtime and so I'm considering doing it in the morning. That'll be cutting it fine, but I should manage.

The thing spooking and rattling my soul is NaNo and why did I ever think I could do this whole MLing thing?! Aargh! But on the plus side, I'm super-keen on my story and can't wait to dive into the world. I even like my character. She's so kick-arse ;)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! I am going into my 3 classes today dressed up, thank-you-very-much. ^^ I have this pink vampire witch outfit or something. I'm not doing the makeup because I'm lazy and don't have the money to buy it right now, either. But the outfit's pretty cool. ^^

Rattled? Yeah, I'd say that describes me after the tournament (http://www.californiaopen.org/CO2011/html/A-ratings-020.html) this weekend.

Note that these standings represent the only time I was ever outside the top 7 all weekend. Which is significant, because the cash prizes went down to...7th place.

Oh, and I was in second, playing the leader, with two games to go. And if I'd won my last game, I'd have been either second or third.

Come to think of it, "rattled" isn't a strong enough word. "Wanting to throw things" is more like it.

This weekend was awesome with no rattling at all :) Slept late, watched lots of Halloweenish movies on various channels, wife made a huge pot of spicy meatballs that I stuffed myself with all weekend. Got my entry in WAY early for me (*crosses fingers it doesn't flop*) and swapped NaNo plot challenges with a friend so getting ready to tackle that.
