If you have already done that though, there is still one very important thing you can do - talk about them.

After all, there are a lot of contestants this season. Which means that there are a lot of entries for people to somehow find their way through.

Which means that there is often some great stuff that, for whatever reason, just isn't getting the love that it "deserves"! More to the point, the love that YOU feel it deserves.

Who are some of the unsung heroes of Week 1, and what do you love about their entries?

After all, it's like everything else - if you want it to be successful, there needs to be word of mouth. If no one else is speaking up for it, I guess it's up to you! :D If they are, well then one more recommendation never hurts!

Good morning! I finished reading and voting last night. Was pretty pleased about that. I might try to get a rec list up, but right now my brain is toast and I have a baby sweater to finish knitting. Also some more cleaning.

Morning GR! Fuzzy1's thumb is not broken, according to X rays, but it hurts like hell and is swollen. I still made it to work on time. I have a new Zumba class to go to this PM. I may inherit it from the other teacher who is getting burned out.

Having a good day so far today; I posted a new work on my storyblog last night and posted a whole bunch of associated art on one gallery (it was up on the other already) and I'm not sure whether to be glad or disturbed at the reception it got (while I do draw porn somewhat regularly, this was largely heavier stuff than I normally do).

I have a chiropractor's appointment today (I'm hoping for a job from said chiropractor!) and I'm going to be drafting cover letters and resumes to send out to perspective jobs as well. Yesterday was basically me being a lump all day but this morning I'm feeling much zippier. And the SO texted me this morning and said that he has presents for me! Apparently I'm going to get them later on tonight. They're probably radio related, which will be great, but a girl can hope for something sparkly.

I made it through 5 tribes yesterday. Felt really bad, because the further I read the less I voted. (Maybe I just got pickier. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.)

Also see a trend of me voting for entries that aren't the ones with the most votes. I'm not sure what that says for my tastes, but go underdogs!

I do that too! My tastes are always at odds with the polls and a lot of the time, underdogs in Idol are really great writers that just don't seem to get the attention they deserve.

I'm going to give a quick shout out to lyfschaos since he's not ranked very highly at the moment, and I encouraged him to join when I met him IRL last month. It's not often I'll meet someone new IRL who will tell such amazing stories that I just want to hear more right off the bat, and so, selfishly, I want him to stay in the game so I can read about those experiences.

Ugh, does it have to be morning? I knew I wasn't going to be able to get up at 6. 6:30 almost worked, but not quite enough. 7 worked only because i couldn't in good faith sleep past when I said I'd be at work.

Yesterday was full- 4 pans of chocolate melted out (3000 grams of chocolate and a quart of cream) for chocolate croissants, quiche filling, canele batter, and almond paste for our ~*~amazing~*~ almond croissants. And the skirt made for my costume.

Tonight it looks like my sister's family is coming over for lunch and games and our apartment is a huge mess. Also, headache. Can we retcon this morning?

I never should have upgraded our cable package. Yesterday I nearly OD'd on shows I'd missed from when we downgraded. Really, I was literally glued to the TV for a stretch. It's kind of frightening...

Really not feelin' it this morning. Didn't get enough sleep, and it's threatening rain outside, which is killing my sinuses, which makes me feel more tired.

But! I'm working earlier in the day today, which means I can go to bed early tonight. And I'm off tomorrow! So it's not so bad.

And I got my whole tribe read and voted on! That's a good thing! I have a decent number of other entries read, so I don't know yet if I'm just going to vote on the ones I liked and just read a few more here and there if I see recommendations, or if I'm going to try to crank out another tribe.

Given the e-mails I found in my Inbox this morning, today promises to be a busy day at work. Or, perhaps more accurately, a busy-work day at work. *sigh*

In other news, both my daughters brought home straight A's yesterday! Woohoo! Come the weekend, we must celebrate.

Good morning! Feeling very motivated today, which makes it the second day in a row I haven't felt like lying in bed and watching Vampire Diaries all day. Worked out yesterday for the first time in about forever and am feeling it today, but kind of excited about that; it makes me feel accomplished. ^_^ Now, off the store to pick up hair color. Haven't dyed it since the beginning of summer and my roots look horrible!

Rough morning over here. Got to bed around 3:30 (with 70 entries still to go - sorry later posters, I read chronologically and everyone on my flist). The 6:30 wake up call was SO not appreciated, and day 5 of caffeine detox was ruined by a JavaMonster to get me going.

Still, the 2 yr old I'm nannying is being adorable and sweet this morning, so it's not all rough, and I made it to work 10 minutes early, and I remembered my lunch, so I get to make myself a Turkey Bacon Bravo (a la Panera Bread) for lunch for the 8th day in a row!! Only enough tomato basil bread left for 2 more sandwiches. The new Townhouse dressing in Southwestern Chipotle was the best find ever!
