Is anyone else having one of those "incredibly long weeks", where it seems that it should be Friday already? Some weeks fly by, others move around like zombies, almost certain to feast on your brain. This is definitely the latter for me.

It's nice to see so many familiar faces showing up for the poll so far this week! I haven't seen some of you in some time! Welcome back! :) Yeah, I know, I usually don't comment about such things, but I did notice and I did smile. Hopefully you will start coming into the Green Room for the rest of the season. . . what little we have left of it!!

Yes! I want to see old familiar faces back in the green room. Even though I generally can't say much until after around 10pm EDT :P

I also hope folks will check out some of the home game entries when they're done voting. I've read some of them already and they're great. I'm glad I was able to gently persuade some of my favourites who're no longer in the game back, as well as my husband's girlfriend who did SCI for a while :)

I've been chatting to my brother a bit this evening, which has been good. I guess giving him my LJ username hasn't been all that bad after all XD (I gave him some samples of my writing I want to turn into novels... and now he's emailing me some of his!)

Also, I decided this evening that what I dubbed my third knee, which I had surgery on to remove about 3 years ago, feels like it's growing back. I freaked out at the time because I thought I had bone cancer, which was the biggest reason I had it removed, but it had turned out to be benign...so, I dunno. It's a bit uncomfortable right now, though.

I've got a partially finished Free Topic piece. I have two separate ideas for Home Game. Today is the only day I'll have time to finish the former and possibly work on the latter...on top of everything else I have to do...

I love 6-day work weeks :p Don't get me wrong, I love/need the money, of course, but it's only Wednesday and I'm already halfway spent! Nevertheless, I must soldier on...

This week has been going quickly for me, but today IS my Friday, as we're leaving for Seattle tomorrow morning. Luckily, it's been a good work week and I have several retainers in the mail for new business :) crossing my fingers that this trend will continue!

I've already done my reading and voting, so now I can watch the poll and hang in the GR while I finish working and packing :)

This week has been going kind of fast. Except now as I try to fight waking up, I want to cry that it's not Saturday. I'd take monsters with sharp teeth if it meant I could stay home from work to deal with them.

I'm not looking at the polls. Maybe later, but I dunno...it's going to be ugly in my little tribe and maybe not watching would be better on my stress levels this week.

Can I go back to sleep yet? Two 11 hour days in a row...someone want to go to work for me today? It should be more normal hours at least. Or so I hope.

My day is off to a nice start. I headed into Portland this morning for a hang-out day. Had breakfast at my favorite place. Planning to mostly chill--maybe do some knitting, maybe some homework, futzing about on the internet, and working on my baby registry.

The registry thing is way more difficult than I expected--there's so much for me to research... Also sometimes it's a downer, because I get stressed about not having any money and how are we going to afford to do this.

After my dog got skunked right in the face last night and we were up until 4am washing her AND us, I'm gonna call this week a long one so far. I'd have taken off today, but I was under the weather on Monday. At least I don't think I smell anymore?

Also, today is made of fail. I had the truck running, ran back inside to get my phone, and my husband (who took off today) tells me to take the car. So I switch vehicles when I get back out, and head to work. I'm almost to work when I realize... I've still got the ONLY truck key. *facepalm* So I'll be running back home shortly.

Today's going to be an interesting day. *kicks brain into gear*

It's been a good day here - really relaxing. They're few and far between but I enjoy them when I get them!

For those interested, I finished my cheesecake (see journal for pictures). It... didn't turn out exactly as I'd hoped. But it was still yummy, and that's the main thing, right? And I've discovered what I did wrong, so I can improve for next time.

I'm going to a parenting workshop tomorrow. It should be interesting. Maybe I'll learn something,... like how to be a better parent? I'm not sure they can teach that in workshops, though. Or maybe I just have the wrong attitude?

Or maybe I need to stop asking questions and just go to bed already since it's 11pm and I'll be up at 4?

Here comes yet another chance for me to gloat (I'm sorry, but I can't help it) - it's SUMMER and I'm on break, so the days of the week don't really count for me anymore.

One downside to the summer, though, is that apparently I might not all of the bonus that I was told I'd get at the end of the school year. All of the core teachers at my school are receiving a bonus for the students' scores on the Big Scary State Test, but even though my students passed at a rate of 96%, I may lose part of my bonus because other classes didn't score as high and our overall school average wasn't enough to get all of the money.

Why can't they all be as good as me? LOL, I kid. But I would definitely like that money for my trip to Japan next month!

I had to get SIX cavities filled yesterday, but only four teeth were involved in the process, whee. I get to have a few more cavities filled next month - it's not like I need any extra holes in my head, lol.

Currently, our network at the office is down. That happens sometimes when it rains, and other times just because it friggin' feels like it. Ah well...

I've been measuring out my weeks in "good days for Kitty" and "bad days for Kitty." So far, this has been a decent week. He had a vet visit today and got fluids, blood work and a pedicure.

He really needed the pedicure - he was on the verge of having ingrown claws for the first time in his life. Poor old guy!

Otherwise, he seems a little better - he's lost some weight, but the vet says he seems better than before. I mean, he's not cured by any stretch of the imagination (and really you don't cure this - just manage it) but if he's healthy enough to be pissed off at me, life is good.

This has been such a good season, with an abundance of talent - I would hate for it to be sullied because some idiot with more time than sense, couldn't help themselves - and more to the point, couldn't actually stand up and say it as themselves.
