Another week and another fight to the finish result!

Before we get to that, we have the matter of the Jury and who they decided to keep safe this week. It was another tough and close vote, but yachiru edged ahead of the pack and claimed victory.

Congratulations!!

Now we have the sad part of the day, saying goodbye to a couple of contestants who have been with us for this journey that we have been on, together, since last October.

Making it to this point is definitely a plus, but I know that everyone would much rather stick around in the actual competition for just a little bit longer.

Unfortunately, their time in the competition itself has come to an end, and they are walking across the aisle to the Jury, to help determine how this is all going to play out!

The two contestants leaving us this week are: theafaye and wyliekat.

Thank you both for a terrific run, welcome to the Jury, and I really hope that we will continue to see Home Game entries from both of you!

I would put their rewrites this week in the top five best written pieces of the week. A shame to lose them both, but at least they went out writing excellent work. Hats off to you both.

theafaye is a dear friend and a wonderful writer. To see her go is a tough pill to swallow since I admire her a whole heck of a lot.

wyliekat is someone I've enjoyed a lot throughout the season. She's done well and should be proud of how far she's come. I don't know her all that well on a personal level, but she seems like an awesome person.

Congrats to yachiru. it just shows that not all poetry is suicide in Idol! It's nice to see it get appreciated!

Seriously, this poll was all over the place from the beginning. All the entries were great this week, I felt, and not knowing who would end up getting immunity meant that I really couldn't pick who was going to go. It gets harder seeing people leave, especially people whose entries I've enjoyed over the season, but I just try to remind myself that at the end of the day, only one person doesn't get to "leave" (except that they do 'cos they can't come back to compete... you get what I mean!).

Anyway, hope you two decide to Home Game it!

A week without Thea seems just wrong to me. I've grown to love her writing so very much and to admire her both as a writer and a person.

I'm sorry to see both theafaye and wyliekat go. They both wrote so many excellent entries this season, and frankly I have enjoyed the hell out of them. You will be missed!

This season is just being brutal to newbies :( We're down to I think three left out of 14 now. Insanity! But you know what? I think wyliekat survived tribe 7 brutality twice due to sacrifices earlier this season, so making top 15 after that is an incredible feat and I hope she's proud of herself!

As for theafaye... she's become one of my favourite people to talk to and her love post this week was very kind. I'm sorry to see her go, but every week eliminations are tough and given how many of the remaining contestants are on my friends list, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be losing a friend every week.

Congratulations to both of you for making it this far! It was a very tight race at the end.

And big congrats to wyliekat on a great run this season. Always entertaining and though I never got to know her on a personal level, she was always encouraging and kind.

Losing theafaye this week is a really tough one to swallow. She's a treasured friend as well as somebody I respect a whole heck of a lot. She's a great, great person.

Real life kicked my butt big time in the past 24 hours so my good bye won't be as eloquent as it might otherwise have been.

Anyone who wanted to friend me is more than welcome to, although I may well be quiet for the next few days. Or not. It's always when I say I'm going to be quiet that I suddenly find I have loads to say.

I won't be home gaming it though. I have other writing I've been putting off for months due to Idol and I can't justify placing home game over that.
