Good morning.

I trust you read http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/464664.html but apparently there are still some people confused. So I will attempt to clarify:

Are you a current contestant? That is defined by - are you facing elimination each week - are you still in the running to become the next LJ Idol? This is information you should know. If you have to stop and ask someone if you are considered a current contestant, there is a pretty good chance you are not. ;)

I extended the voting to Jury Members as well. Have you been told "You are on the Jury"? The last couple of eliminations have been told that. The ones just before that, they were not. If you were not told "You are on the Jury" then you have nothing to worry about.

If you do not fit either of these categories - read and comment - but your time to vote is not here. Just consider this a contestant only vote, or whatever you need to think of it as in order to stop yourself from voting. :)

If you do fit those categories:

Which of kittymichaels's entries do you like best? Second best? Third best?
Write those down. Like that.
Now move on to the next contestant - and do the same thing until you have a list of all 3 entries from each contestant.

Hopefully everyone "has it". It's unusual for Idol, but it's fairly straight-forward.

I have read and ranked everyone which means I'll be twiddling my thumbs until the polls proper arrive!

This afternoon we are braving the storms to visit friends. They usually provide lots of culinary treats but are out of food right now. Since the children want to go visit anyway, we can safely say they don't want to see them just for the food!

Ah, that's exactly what I was thinking after I posted my babbling last night!

There are mushrooms growing on my front lawn. This only happens when the precipitation is a bit, shall we say, too much? We had ONE sunny day this past week, btw. On that day I managed to mow our jungle of a backyard. No mushrooms out there, though.

If my neighbor is correct and we'll be seeing hot and humid come this weekend...um, I'll believe it when I feel it?!?

After my initial confusion, I have also finished reading everything and sent in my ranked votes. I still feel confused and have thus decided to not even try to guess what's going to happen next.

I suspect the rest of my week until the deadline will be taken up by me watching TV shows my husband isn't interested in watching with me. I'm also planning on seeing the new Pirates movie tomorrow night, and having seen spoilers about that movie already, am concerned that my entry that prominently features pirates this week is going to seem like a rip off of the film, despite my not having seen it yet. :/

I wasn't confused until people started asking questions I hadn't thought of...then I was like "maybe I'm not getting it..." But I had java_fiend here at the tine to straighten my brain all out.

I've read about 10 groups this far. I'm going to comment as much as I can, and will comment on at least one of every group...but I have read all the entries of that group regardless. I'm just short on time and getting everything read by tonight is a requirement since java_fiend and I are getting together tomorrow night to get me ready to be off to MO on Wednesday. I stayed up way too late reading last night, which had me sleeping in way too late this morning. Ugh. So I'll have to be quicker about it tonight. Great stuff out there though! It's been hard to rank at times when I love them all!

So Monday has started off like a flippin' Monday... I seem to have misplaced my belt. I think it's over at pixie117's place. So I am currently wandering around the office, continually pulling up my pants and praying that I don't have a wardrobe mishap again. Oh yes, on another occasion that I happened to misplace my belt, I wasn't paying attention and POOF, pants fell right down to my ankles. Oy.

Other than that... stayed up a little too late reading a bit of Chasing Fire, the second book in the Hunger Games series and am loving it... there is no drop-off from the first book. It's seriously fantastic stuff.

Since I got home kinda late last night, I planned on doing all of my reading/ranking tonight and tomorrow... I'm looking forward to it!

I have entirely too much to do in this final week of May. My workload is going to be too heavy today to do much reading, and I have the oldest's District Championship softball game tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I can get in some time.

Not sure how I feel about my entries this week, mostly because it wanted to be a much longer, more detailed story than I had time to write or anyone else wanted to read this week, considering the number of entries.

Surprisingly, I'm feeling pretty good for a Monday though, so there's that.

I'm really intrigued by this whole thing. And worried: I've had a mad, crazy, busy week and I didn't spend nearly as much time on my entries as I wanted to. I almost bailed out in a moment of madness yesterday, but of course I wouldn't do that! - I mentioned it in a post this morning and promptly got a message saying "DON'T YOU DARE".
I figure if I got entries turned in this time (and I do tend to exaggerate: I have been writing all three all week) then there isn't anything I can't do. I'm fighting 'til the bitter end, kids. So, you know, don't think that I intend to bail out, because I wouldn't dare. Also I never want this to end, ever. Can't we all come second to kittymichaels?

Anyway I'm looking forward to reading everyone's entries in the next day or so. I even have a hilariously fancy new smartphone that I can read & write on, and so I can fit all my writing into my crazy, busy life :)
