I'M GOING TO SEE MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE TONIGHT. WOO HOOOOOOOOOO. That's exciting. I haven't seen them since they opened for Green Day in '05, and then I was more excited about Green Day. Oh, how the times do change.

I just flat out haven't had time to write a second chance entry. I'll try and squeeze one in at work, but if it doesn't happen it doesn't happen.

Whenever I told people about the polls going up at the beginning of the season I would encourage them to read other entries. I still do, from time to time (because I haven't mentioned the poll in several weeks), tell my friends about things I enjoyed and things they should read. I think most of them are afraid of the sheer size of the thing.

Oh, I suppose I should answer that last question, too. I'm more likely - I've been trying to find even more friends than usual to come and support the game and read and vote. I think there's a lot of brilliant stuff on offer they might otherwise miss out on, and the more people reading (everything) and voting, the fairer the results are, I say!

I'm actually not sure how successful I am in doing this, but one former Idoler mentioned wanting to come back and read, and a friend I tried to encourage to join at the start of the season - whom I don't even know the LJ name of - also asked me for directions to the community, so I figure that's a good start!

I've been reading some of the entries that have popped up on my flist, before the poll is even up, because now that the competition is smaller it feels easier somehow. lawchicky wrote a great round 2 entry about food and love that made me smile. And applespicy wrote a regular week entry about her break from Pentacostalism, which was reflective and informative.

I'll be reading more when polls go up.

Just watched what might be a drunk squirrel playing in the yard--he was acting funny and seemed to have a poor sense of balance.

Last night I started knitting a shawl. It should be really pretty.

WOOOO HOOOOO I'm off to an aquarium adventure sometime within the hour! Right now The Kidz are eating, SO's getting dressed, and I'm...yeah, waiting :p

This afternoon I finally get my Jeep back with an intact backseat! WOOT! Although I'm certainly not wooting at how much it's going to cost :cringes:

I'm always on the lookout for non-Idol people I know to be more involved here. I do have a few longtime FListers who will read/vote, but I think their involvement begins and ends with me. I have encouraged them to check out other entries. Whether they have or not, I have no idea.

Methinks we need a massive marketing campaign, perhaps...???

Is that the new GR battle? To beat Java? That's pretty funny, now I have to try. XD

Right now I'm on a serious case of the "boo hoo". I have extremely high anxiety when it comes to medical anything. Now, I'm only getting my wisdom teeth out, which is a procedure an oral surgeon does in his sleep, but I'm still terrified, and he even gave me a vallium to take before my mom drives me there, so I'll be even more calmed down (especially after I told him how crazed I was when my dentist did some routine fillings on me).

That happens tomorrow! I'm preparing like crazy!!!

My "woo hoo" is that SCHOOL'S OUT! I earned a cumulative GPA of 3.76, nothing to sneeze at, and I will now have time to read LJI entries once again!!! :D

Also, I miss everyone. ♥

I'mma send in a boo hoo, because I'm in that terrible time between posting entries and receiving feedback on them. Until they are read, I have no idea if they stand up or not. But a woo hoo because I was able to get them done yesterday - I'm on top of the game for the first time in months.

That's the scariest bit...waiting on the feedback. It's one thing I hate about posting early, especially since comments are down anyway. And because I bet everyone is too busy writing and can't read right now. That's my issue and why I'm not reading yet at least. It's also my concern for Round Two this week since everyone else will be freaking out about three entries.

I'm always trying to get friends over here. I have one friend who just came back to LJ after being gone for many years (a Ral friend who actually got me to LJ in the first place) who I'm trying to get over here to read and maybe play next season. I think she would totally be into the idea and all.

It's funny -- a couple of the non-Idol people on my FL have expressed interest in playing, but no matter how hard I've convinced them to sign up, they still haven't. I think they're gun-shy about the writing aspect in that they don't think they're "good" writers. Whatever that means their their book :shrug:

A lot of my friends haven't really expressed a huge interest in Idol, but I'm hoping to get them into it now that we're nearing the end. Maybe even encourage a few to sign up next season. We shall see.

I should say that in regards to my comment above about not getting my entries in next week with being too busy...for those who know me, you know I'd never be too busy to not put out something. I always go down fighting. Last season about this time, I was road tripping cross country with a friend who was moving to DC and I wrote my entry up and posted it entirely from my phone.

I'm already going to take my laptop to write on the plane and will do whatever it takes. This season, I've already sat in a Mcdonalds parking lot while on a trip to steal the free Wi-Fi so I could post...and I still had a bye left. I'm just that damn stubborn.

But that is, if you guys find me suitable to go on, which I hope you do :D

Oh, yes, I'm exactly the same. I wrote two of my entries on two separate plane trips, and my sonnet was written on my phone on a bus, despite the fact I still had both byes left in all situations... I was too stubborn to use them, too ;)

I'm going boo-hoo because my computer monitor is STILL not fixed, which is annoying to no end. I'm going woo-hoo because even though our oven's heating element went out the other day, it only took two hours from the time we called in a repair request to the time they came out and fixed it, for just a lite over $100 including parts and labor, so that was good.

Being down to the top 21 just means it's easier to get everything read in a timely manner. Of course, with so many entries this week, there's still no guarantee that I'll get everything read unless we have a little longer on the polls. Blame Facebook, but once I go out of the game and no longer have a horse in the race, it is easier for my attention to be drawn elsewhere. Sad, but true.

Ugh... today is the 31st anniversary of the eruption of Mt. St. Helens... which seems fitting since I think I ate some bad Chinese food last night and think I could erupt at any minute. Go me.

Have to finish up my Round 2 entry for tonight... Yikes. And then I have to figure out how to tackle the other 3 topics. Double yikes. It's seriously gettin' to be nervous-time around these parts folks. But... we only can do what we can do and the chips will fall where they may, yes?

Busiest week in recent memory, and kittymichaels has decided this is the week to go into a serious decline. He's lost two pounds since December (which I think I mentioned) and we've taken him to the vet twice this week.

The first time was because he's not been able to keep any food down. The second time was because they messed up his blood work and they needed to take more.

He's been keeping down wet food for the most part, but he threw it up twice yesterday.

I spent a good ten minutes crying over the little bastard yesterday, and he rewarded me by taking a little chunk out of my ear. Ear wounds, it should be noted, bleed like crazy.

While the wife was trying to repair the damage, he walked up and gave her a good bite. Then he looked at both of us with great concern, as if to say "is everything all right? You seem like you're in pain."

He's a brat, but man I love that evil cat. He slept on my feet (as always) last night and woke me up in time for work.

It isn't his kidneys (which is positive) so they're trying to figure out what ails him.

All right, all right, enough kitty updates. I should be worried about the million other things I need to do this week.
