The results of the first Round Two are in, and they are some sad ones.

But then, regardless of what they were, it was going to be sad. Losing people from the competition is never easy, and at this point, the people who are left have formed all sorts of bonds, making it even more difficult to say goodbye.

Sooner or later though, everyone but one person will be joining those ranks. We are getting closer and closer to the end.

Thank you, to all of you, those of you who have been fighting the entire time, as well as those who joined us from Second Chance, newbies and veterans alike. You have all made this season a lot of fun! Thank you! I hope we will continue to see you around the Home Game, and in the Green Room!

I'd like to first thank everyone who supported both of us this season. AJ made it farther than she did last season, and I went far beyond what I could have imagined - especially because I was almost eliminated in Week 2! Everything has kinda been bonus since. I never considered myself a creative writer before Idol, but I hope to continue.

Writing here gave me the inspiration for the Suicide Kings, and I've received a lot of feedback from people wanting me to run with it. So we'll see.

I'm going to be retreating to my native Dreamwidth (for those not aware, I am staff there and crosspost my entries to LJ) - but feel free to friend me on either service. It's been an honor and a pleasure to meet so many of you and I hope to keep in touch.

I'm glad you've enjoyed it; I've enjoyed writing the entries. This was inevitable, it always is. Although now that it's over for me, I feel like I have much more freedom to pursue this little plot bunny. I'm working on notes for turning the original SK into a full length YA novel - nothing I would have ever considered before!

I'm not completely surprised that this was my week to go - I couldn't give the poor sidekick to Don Quixote the attention he deserved because most of my writing muscle was going to PhD term papers and a series of case studies of youth placed in out-of-home care. (Feel free to friend me and ask for an add to the Research Geek filter if that sort of thing interests - I might actually start using it one of these days now that the huge research project I'm doing at work is happening.)

I've had a blast this year, even more so than last. Last season I wrote a lot more rants, as if I was doing lots of black-and-white ink drawings. This season, I feel like I got the chance to get out the watercolors a little bit more, like I only managed to do a few times in Season 6.

I expect to be around and reading, and am very pleased indeed to have made it as far as I did.

Many thanks to all who have supported me and/or ravenshrinkery, and thanks most of all to Gary for running this insanity and keeping it going.

You're right Gary, the goodbyes just get harder and harder. Sigh. We're really getting down to fewer and fewer people. How many are left?
