This morning, I am feeling like I may have been too old and out of shape to be standing that close to Sleigh Bells. The me from last night thought he was in a perfect spot. But then again, that bastard didn't have to feel any of the after-effects!

What are you telling yourself you are "too old for" this morning, Danny Glover?

What do you figure is just about right?

Remember, the polls are still open: http://therealljidol.livejournal.com/455638.html - you're never too old to get out and support your favorites after all!!

Too old to be staring at a screen just sort of spacing when I should be writing.

And yet...

Not too old to get here first, though! ;)

Apparently not! -laugh-

So, okay, what's the deal with the whole calling first thing, anywho? Is it an inside joke or a meme I'm too lame to get?

It's a dig at the people that yell FIRST whenever there's an official LJ post that gets a gazillion comments. Because coming first in an LJ post REALLY matters.

Okay, then. Thanks.

Urgh. I am apparently too old for drinking at all. I went to my friend's Not-chelorette party last night (she's NOT getting married today!) and now I feel like I've been drawn and quartered. Gone are the days when I can chug tumblrs of Jager. Apparently having six drinks in six hours and not being even remotely drunk when I bail at 12:30 is too much these days.

Someone get me my cane. I'm going to need it.

Your walking cane or your discipline cane? ;)

Well, right now I'm going to use it for walking, so I don't have to crawl to the movie theater so I can see the $5 showing of the new movie my podcast is reviewing this week. I'm sure I'm going to need it for disciplining eventually.

You have a podcast? What is it about? I listen to podcasts all the time and have been thinking of recording one of my own.

I do! Well, my friend has a podcast and he roped me into helping with it. It's about movies. Each week we (try to) watch one new movie and one older movie that relates to it. We also go over movie news and what we've been watching recently. This week we did Fast Five and Gone in 60 Seconds (http://www.mrbowers.net/blog/?p=104). There are usually three or four of us, but it was just me and Matt this week. Which is just as well, because I apparently have LOTS OF FEELINGS about cars.

I honestly don't listen to many podcasts with any regularity, except the League of STEAM podcast (http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/steam-geeks/id414617243), even though I suspect I'd like to listen to more. What would yours be about?

That's really cool! Most of the podcasts I listen to are related to Disney stuff.

The podcast I would like to record would be about cruising, focusing on current events/news and also on the history of different cruise ships. I'm afraid I may have missed the boat a little (pun intended) since I've been meaning to do this for awhile now and quite a few similar podcasts have popped up since, but I think I provide a unique perspective, being a maritime attorney as well as someone who genuinely loves the topic.

IKR, the other Saturday I was out in the park with my friends drinking beer and I got a same-day hangover. I was not impressed. Two years ago I spent every day all summer lying in the sunshine drinking all-sorts-of-alcohol and never got a hangover! NOT FAIR, DON'T WANT TO GET OLDER.

I shouldn't be here. I should be writing. Deadlines are on Tuesday and I haven't done nearly enough work.
Also I finally found a purpose for a lot of my idol entries from this season! I'm currently adapting several of them into a piece of theatre :D

Hey, good work! I think they'd adapt well.

My hands are aching, and I don't exactly know why. That makes me feel old.

But otherwise, I feel like exactly the right age :)

In more Idol-related news, I keep refreshing the polls and thinking, 'hmm, which person out of the other polls am I going to be going up against?!"

This morning I am too old too party with my family all night (I switched to beer at 6p and drank pretty much nothing else until 2am while dancing and chatting with folks) and get up with the nieces and nephews to go to the pool. Either one would be okay, both in succession is a bit difficult. Anyway, I need to get my swimsuit on.

I would love to be in a pool right now! Maybe not *hungover* and in a pool, but still... :)

Not only do I believe in them, I've lived them...but nothing is ever 100% perfectly happy, it's all how you look at it. Happiness is a choice, a perception...one most people will never find because they are too busy focusing on the negative. And it's all about what you consider the "ending". Everyone goes through hard times, but there's the good times too. It's all about what you choose to focus on.

I think my life is a perfect example of that anything is possible.

I am too old to overlook the abject judgement I get from other parents when my 2 year old acts like a normal goddamn 2 year old!

*breathes*

Sorry... We're back from a rather stressful walk to the mall.

I'm too old to enjoy watching one of my closest friends to struggle in the poll against me :(

This poll is going to kill me yet, I'm afraid. I really don't get the dynamics at play here. None us are pimping, we've agreed that since we are close friends, that would be tacky and kind of a jerk move to make. I don't get how [livejournal.com profile] comedychick isn't doing better. Her entry was just as good, if not better than mine I think. While I am relieved to be okay this far (things can change and I'm scared either way), I hate seeing her do badly when she wrote a great entry.

I'm so conflicted here today. The end of this poll won't be good no matter what...since I love Idol too much to come close to going out, but I also love my friends too much to see them possibly get voted out either. I just wish the dang thing would end already :(

I'm ever so tempted to start discussing The Great Pimping Debate because I'm curious what people's thoughts are on such things. I am glad that us three haven't pimped, though. Has anyone else pimped our poll? No clue. But I am happy to go out if it means you and [livejournal.com profile] mstrobel are safe. <3 <3

It was a signing for their DVDs and related show merchandise... they're local celebrities... horror hosts for the midnight movie on our community public access cable channel.

It was fun!

I still have to finish reading and voting. I slept in till eight thirty this morning which is late for me but apparently it wasn't enough because I wasn't up very long before taking a nap. Finally at noon I got up for real and started being productive. lol. I'm not sure what that makes me too old for.

I'm too old to be staying up until 2am any more, but I continue to do it anyway, LOL. On the weekends at least I have the option of sleeping in, but when I do it on work days (and I do, although mostly I try to be in bed no later than 1am) oh is there hell the pay the following morning when I need to drag a$$ out of bed, LOL.

Off to do more reading and voting...

Unfortunately I've got a laundry list of things I'm now too old for. Fortunately I won't list them, therefore not subjecting anybody to read them!

Just got home from work. I need to eat something and take The Kidz for a walk. Then off to read/vote!

Rock on, Idolers!

I am too old to stay up the next hour or so to see what happens when the poll closes and who I am fighting against to stay in. I probably will because I can be really stupid sometimes when sleep is what I am in desperate need of, but I am currently chatting with good friends online and that's always guaranteed to delay whatever else I'm supposed to do.

I think everyone was fretting about the poll. Or something ;)

Meanwhile, I was watching Being Human with my husband when it was posted and then went to bed.
