So, how are you doing today? Hopefully pretty well.

If you haven't claimed a partner yet, that would be the place to do it!

Intersections have been some of the most dreaded, and beloved, twists of the competition. Being able to work one on one with someone, especially if it's someone that you may not have gotten the chance to know very well during the course of the competition, that usually produces some great results!

Hi,

I see I was in the right place at the right time. HUzza!

Life has been so weird and stressful for weeks. Finally a lot of that is out of my life only to deal with a bug bite gone abses on my rear of all the awful places one can be. I'll spare you all the details. So yeah, sitting is a less then pleasant experience at the moment. Getting better though.

And finally once and for all our taxes are getting done tomorrow. Not that I really want to let the government have any of my money. Will pray for a refund. That would be nice.

That's it around here. And agree, let's see if LJ can be kind to us this week.

Part of me is very relieved that I was knocked out before an intersection. They ATE MY BRAIN last time, cos I didn't really know ANYONE and it made me feel very not-a-cool-kid.

The partner picking stuff stressed me out a lot more than the writing did. I'm sort of glad I don't have to go through that again. (Though I have made a lot more friends this time around.)

I should add that the people I ended up working with were great. :) But the whole process was stressful.

Luckily, the drinking age is 18 here, so I've been drinking for a few weeks already :) (Mind you, since I'm the designated breastfeeder, a cup of tea is as stiff a drink as I'm getting).

Things are mostly good here. The run-down:
- it rained last night (yippee!)
- I made sausage rolls and they were awesome
- my tiny baby has a snuffly nose, which is pretty rough for someone who's an obligatory nose-breather :(
- we went to the library! PG Wodehouse, Death Note #8 and a Buffy graphic novel were just some of the book goodness to be had.

Gooood Morning, GR!

I cannot believe I'm up this early on my day off. It's probably because I went to bed earlier than I normally would have, so now my body's wondering why I'm not dressed and already out of here.

I kid you not, I was completely blindsided by the intersection. For some reason it never occurred to me that it might be used this season :head desk: But then again I've been more worried about LJ working properly than anything else at this point.

Coffee's almost ready! Who wants a cup?

LOL. I've had people lined up for weeks. Of course, I was still a bit surprised and have now ended up swapping weeks with my 1st & 3rd lined up people. It's just how the cards kinda well. Luckily we were all able to do this without upsetting anyone (I was kind of worried I would!)

This is, of course, only relevant if the intersections run that long and we get to work with that many people. Who knows? Maybe we'll only have one partner for one week, or one partner for several weeks?

I haven't got someone specific lined up if this goes on longer than 3 partners, though... No clue if Gary would do that! I mean, I did get to work with 4 people last season, but I'd already been voted out the 4th time I did it!

The way people keep talking about intersections like this is the first of many makes me nervous. I'm really excited to work with yachiru (and plum flattered that she'd want to work with me), but I get the impression that we have to shake it up and pick someone new every time? Even though I'm totally an adult who works in teams all the time now I still get incredibly wound up about having to pair off. WHAT IF NO ONE LIKES ME? WHAT IF I KICK THE BALL THE WRONG WAY? WHAT IF THEY THINK I SMELL?

Whether we pick someone new is entirely up to Gary. First time around I think you teamed up for a few weeks; last time it was a one shot deal.

Personally, I love intersections. It's an opportunity to meet someone new and that's always good. Plus someone to bounce ideas off takes things in new and unusual directions.

Just popping in to say "hello". I'm at work, though I got here late. Annabelle started freaking out on our walk and when I checked, there was a small earthquake right at that time...but very far away. But she seemed to sense it because she was barking at nothing, her hair was standing on end and she looked as if she expected the world to crumble from underneath her. Poor girl. So I stayed with her until she calmed down. The earthquake is the only thing I can figure...

So I'm excited about intersections! I LOVE them!
