I'm STILL ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT!!!

Why? Because there are five people tied in last place with the bottom two due to be eliminated!!!!

Which is where the run-off comes in.
Everyone can vote.

It starts now and continues until Monday April 30th at noon EST (gmt -4)
The two with the fewest votes will be eliminated.

The new topic will be announced when the eliminations take place, so the rest of you - enjoy your weekend off, and make sure to keep your favorites in the running!

Maybe you should link their entries along with their names like you do with the regular voting?

Oh yeah, man it was going back and forth there for quite some time, with people going in and out of the bottom grouping every few minutes!!! Which is why I made sure to refresh *exactly* at 4 to make sure I got the accurate count.

I would have included the entries except this run-off is less to do with one specific entry and more to due with overall performance in the contest. People should vote for the people they want to keep in, for whatever reasons and whatever criteria they have for wanting to keep people in the contest!

Pretty obvious I'm going, unless my friendslist rises up and votes (ha). I'm surprised I lasted this long, although I had thought it would be fun to be in the final five. I met some interesting people and added to my friends list, so this has worked well for me.

I do wonder--was it my choice of who my favorite LJ user is? Or was it the execution of the essay? If you disliked the entry because of who I said I had to choose, consider this: if one is honest with oneself, one will come up with the answer that her/his own LJ persona *has* to be among her/his favorites, or one would not be bothering to maintain it and try to entertain and inform with the entries. If you are not for yourself, who will be for you? However, that's neither here nor there--it's everywhere (apologies to Lennon/McCartney). It's probably just that I am not very well known, also.

Must think of newsworthy stunt to pull so as to become well known.

Cannot involve flock of sheep and truckload of Silly String again.

Whoa!! Who all "pimped" me in the friendslists? Had to be more than one of you . . . one has already confessed on my LJ. *sobs* You like me . . . you really like me . . . or else you have an Evil Plan involving sheep and Silly String that you will make me implement. The margins here are SO narrow. It's really a matter of chance and persuasion ("go click, or else"). Good grief--those who are chosen by chance to be on the bottom two as the clock ticks past the appointed hour were just as likely to have stayed (or more likely), so please stick around and play the home game with us! Congratulations to all who participated in the runoff . . . you made a difference. Whether or not you're going to regret having made the difference remains to be seen, though I hope you won't regret it. . . .

No . . . I'm not on any of the instant message/messenger things or chat rooms, because I'm just not set up for it (I know how much time I would spend, and then I'd be mad because I hadn't been writing--I have to take frequent breaks from looking at the screen.)
