Well, OK, they have. Pretty much every week. But let's pretend that this is the most important vote in the history of voting! Never before has a vote meant so much to so many people!!!

Cities will crumble. Mountains will stop collective bargaining. Sequels will become prequels and Madness with take it's toll, and not just in the middle of the street anymore.

I will implore you though, once you are done reading the entries of your opposite numbers, to check out your own tribe. Read their entries. COMMENT on their entries. It's one of the downsides of people going "Oh, I don't have a poll to watch" that sometimes that means that they just wander off.

But if you are voting for another tribe OR ESPECIALLY if you are NOT a current contestant - take the time to read both tribes.

There is some stuff well worth your time and attention there. You could discover a new favorite or be reminded just why you love "Contestant X"'s stuff so much.

I have just finished reading tribe 1 and sent in my votes. Tomorrow I intend to read some more of tribe 2 (I pre-read some before the vote post) because it really is a great distraction from waiting for results, but also I know there are pieces there I want to read. :D

Oh my, I've been crazy busy the last couple of days! I'm dealing with another round of fallout from my mother's death - namely that we cannot find any trace of her bank accounts and that it will probably take a legal bank search to find them. The most confusing part was despite the tyrant she was I don't think she was that level of creative.

It's an icky dreary day out, a good day to sleep for a couple more hours and putter around cleaning the house, and maybe play some Portal or the like. I'm not feeling very motivated, I must admit.

I had trouble with one of my mother's accounts, but luckily I remembered enough about it to actually call the bank in question. I had present myself there with legal proof that I was her daughter -- after that, I got the info with no problem.

I finished and voted for tribe 1! I will start reading and commenting on tribe 2 tonight!

I'm at work, but I don't want to work. I'm already grumpy in my head at my co-workers. My hair looked good when I left the house, but something changed on the drive to work because now it looks like I came in off the streets.

Hmm what else? I'm going to get to sleep early tonight since I don't have an entry to write! I'll read the rest of the entries bit by bit over the next few days, but I seriously need sleep. This DST coupled with new work hours that requires getting up at 5 am (which turns into 5:35 am instead) has taken it's toll on me!

Hot chocolate with a shot of espresso will save the day today though :)

I'm a reader on the doctoral dissertation of a woman who was my supervisee a few years ago during her clinical practicum. Today she is defending her dissertation and we're signing it.

Ten years ago, I went through the same process. Today I get to go help someone I mentored as she gets her doctorate. I just love that.

Otherwise, I'm just hanging on til spring break next week!

I read and commented and voted for Tribe 1. I'm hoping to make my way through some more Tribe 2 entries this afternoon. There are some great entries this week so far. It's really making me nervous, especially since I wrote something more twisted than my usual style.

Otherwise, I'm working from home and trying to enjoy this rainy day. The weather is supposed to improve tenfold by the end of the week and I can't wait!

Oh I just remembered, today would be my 3 year anniversary with my ex. Yikes!

It's now known as my one year antiversary. Though technically we were separated even last year at this time, but hey, it's the first one since the divorce. I feel like celebrating my freedom from the nastiness that is my ex, but since I don't drink really, I'll just sleep soundly tonight :)

Oh wow at some of those! That's crazy!

I once told my 5 year old nephew that he needed to be quiet as I was backing up in a busy parking lot (so I could concentrate). He asked "why?" and without thinking, I responded "because if not, I might accidentally run over someone...and kill them..." he got quiet very quickly and I felt like the worst aunt ever for coming up with that response to a 5 year old! But it was true, I really was worried I might hit someone!

I overslept this morning by several hours, but still plan to stay here at the PTO until 9 or so. Backlog must be addressed!!

I finished reading tribe 1 and voted. I muchly enjoyed many of your entries. I hope you are fair with your treatment of those who have been where you are now, and all your fellow contestants.

Meanwhile, I am only worried in so far as I have no control over the outcome of this round. That kind of stress could be killer if I let it be, but there's no point.

Mornin' all... can't really remember my dreams from last night. All I know is that I woke up feeling vaguely disturbed. It could be that I woke up to a feline staring at me like he was deciding which body part of mine that he wanted to eat first.

Today... I'm doing my best to not kill, maim or maul my lazy, ignorant, idiotic co-worker. Oh but it's difficult.

Should finish reading/voting on Tribe 1 tonight... and then I'll dive on into Tribe 2. Just because I'm not voting on the tribe doesn't mean I shouldn't read it!!! :-)

I'm looking forward to getting started with tribe 2 tonight after choir practice. School is dominating my life, and because of that, I am really excited to read what everyone has written.

Two things we discussed last year during tribal voting. I can't recall if we discussed it in the green room or in somebody's meta entry or what.

1) Don't assume other people are going to vote for one of your favorites and then not vote for them! Hopefully, the fact that you can vote for everyone will alleviate this somewhat, but several of my absolute favorites were wiped out by tribal voting last year and there was much gnashing of teeth and rending of garments.

2) Your tribe members will remember that you read their entries, even though you didn't have to. I don't recall anyone saying they held *not reading* against anybody, but I do recall several people saying that they really appreciated the reads.

I always vote for a favorite in stuff like this! Why someone wouldn't is beyond me. But I do remember how shocked I was at a contestant only tribal voting last season...though the one was in my tribe and I couldn't vote for then anyway!

Yes, I plan on reading and commenting on my tribe too. I never hold not commenting against people, I get busy too...but it does help me get to know a name better and I like getting to know people. The social interaction is really why I'm here.

It's important to eat badly now and then, so that you remember the reasons for eating well all the rest of the time. That is why I intend to consume only cake and tim tams until at least morning tea time.
