More names to drop. I think dizzy_writing and redvelvetgrrl should be doing better than they are in poll 2. And some of my highlights in that poll that are doing decently well last time I checked are yachiru and momebie. Still haven't quite finished reading poll 2. OH MY GOD. I'M AWAKE FOR A GREEN ROOM. I really shouldn't be, because my guest is leaving tomorrow morning and then I have to go back to work - which is always hard after a long weekend, as some of you may know.

My internet just recently started working, so very few entries got read :( I hate not commenting more, but reading and commenting from my phone would suck. I sorry guys...I would stay up tonight, but I can barely keep my eyes open as it is.

I am not looking at poll 2. I just want to take a break from the poll obsessing to work on some stuff within my head. So giving shout outs if hard in that case....but I love everyone and think you all totally rock :)

Today is my last day of freedom. I start my course tomorrow and something tells me it's going to be a tough semester. Managed to make it through all the entries and vote, though, so YAY for doing something productive!

Well, I'm a little more than halfway through reading Tribe 2. At this rate I'm not even sure if I'm going to get to Tribe 1 :( What I did was start reading from the bottom up. Why? Because the normal thing is reading from the top down. I like breaking rules ;)

Today is x-ray day at Ortho Doc's after I get out of work. Has my foot healed at all? Tune in!

Yeah, new month. Spring is coming. It's light enough now that I can go downstairs in the morning without turning on any lights!

Of course all this new-ness doesn't mean that the vortex of doom at work is any better, that I'm not actually coming down with chickenpox as we speak, or that I'm not about to spend a month being bored to death by fellow American expats who don't understand that I have not been up all night watching basketball on satellite TV like they have.

Well March roared so friggin' loud it woke me up at 230 in the morning and now I can't get back to sleep. March sucks so far!!! *le sigh* :-)

Finished Tribe 1 tonight and really liked some of the pieces there. Some very good stuff indeed. Will finish Tribe 2 today!

I'm hoping the weather progresses as the month progresses.
Applied for a job yesterday. Wish me luck! I won't know anything for at least a week, maybe two. They wanted a traditional mailed in letter, etc.
I also submitted an article to a teaching magazine. That'll take a month before I hear anything. No money at stake, but professional glory all the way, baby! Wish me more luck.

If you can only wish so much for so many people, my RL colleague/ friend, CM, needs best wishes most of all. No telling how long she'll be in a hospital or rehab place. Such a shame. She's a brilliant teacher.

Speaking of being on a sugar high, I just got presented with a Lemon Dream Supreme cupcake from Gigi's Cupcakes. I haven't tried this flavor before (I tend to gravitate more towards chocolate) but it looks deeeeee-licious!

Actually we woke up with a hard frost this morning, so we think March came in like a penguin!

I'm getting a little concerned about the way the vote is going. Not only is Tribe 2 tough competition, but many of my friends are there! And a burst of love for certain entries and I could be back to home-gaming it soon.

Still, I spread the luv, got a couple of recs on my LJ -- may edit in more if I get time to revisit the entries.

No time for a long comment this morning. I'm working on an appeal, which will be a giant time suck for me until the middle of next week :( I have to get all original filings scanned and ready for the appellate printer, and then write the thing, and then use the appellate printer's "record" as a guide for all my references. If I haven't mentioned it before- I hate appeals!
