It's the final gasp of the shortest month.

But often enough - it tends to be a trying one that makes you wonder how much worse it could be if you gave it a few extra days!

Now that it's almost over though - what was your favorite part? Your least favorite part?

Heck, while I've got you here, I'll turn it back to Idol itself, and ask the age old question of "what are the entries that just aren't getting the attention you think they should be getting": http://community.livejournal.com/therealljidol/434182.html because that seems to be a common theme this particular week.

Then again, weeks coming back from a contestant only voting tend to shake up voting patterns! So I guess we will see what there is to see this time! It should be interesting! If by "interesting" you mean people tearing their hair out for the next couple of days, and I do! :)

Least favorite: The unexpected death of my friend, canuckgirl, less than two weeks after returning from our trip to Vegas.

I haven't read many entries yet and my Internet is crapping out on me every 5 minutes. I'm posting from my phone while sitting in front of a laptop that might work better as a paper weight at the moment. Grrr.

Best part of the month? The weekends with java_fiend of course! And Disneyland! I'm a lucky girl!

Worst part? This last week or so. Anxiety attacks out of the blue, my insecurities and issues doing a number on me. It's not pretty inside my head sometimes. But it'll pass. I have an amazing man in my life that helps me see the good about myself even as my brain tries to convince me otherwise <3

My favourite parts of February were... it's not been loads of fun, I have to say. It's been really hot (although that's unlikely to change even though the month is about to), and we've been particularly poor :( On the plus side, our chooks started laying! Yay!

BUT! March will be much more interesting - my son's birthday is tomorrow, and then the new baby is due in about three weeks. Plus hopefully, it will cool down a bit.

News about my still sick friend who is still pn the vent b/c of pneumonia gone viciously and freakishly evil.

I just remembered I also wanted to make another comment. Recently I've been thinking about the average age of people still in LJ Idol, because I'm starting to feel like a bit of a youngun'. Most of my friends in the contest are older than me. I can only think of one person I know for sure is younger! It's kind of a weird thing to realise :P Is there anyone in Idol besides vaguelyclear younger than 27?

Have also been feeling like I'm 28 lately. Which is silly, because my birthday is in November!

The best part of February? It's one of those "eh" months on Planet Kizzy because nothing happens -- no birthdays, no vacations, nothing monumental. It's one of those nose-to-the-grindstone periods. And no, The Foot doesn't count :p

I've only read/commented on a scattered few entries. I'm off from work today, though, so I hope I'll get at least halfway through :)

Good Morning Fellow Heathens!

Let's not let February hang around any longer, huh? Let's just shoo it out the door and welcome March in. And March better be better or there's going to be hell to pay. :-)

I'm still working my way through the entries so I don't have a full "more love" list... but I shall.

For now though, I will put in a plug for pixie117 Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm sure some will call me biased. But from an objective point of view, I think she really stretched herself this week and did something very different. It's a warped and twisted and altogether hilarious spin on the Disney Princess stories. I loved the idea when she pitched it... while we were at Disneylandy. I really do think it's awesome and she most definitely deserves some more love. I thought it was a great piece. So go take a look, read, enjoy it!

Aww you're so sweet to me. Biased or not, I'll keep saying that I'm just happy you enjoyed it. It was fun discussing it with you at Disneyland, and maybe I didn't execute it as well as I had hoped, but I tried something different to put myself out there. If it flops, it flops. At least I tried to grow and switch it up a bit. We are twisted, morbid freaks and not everyone gets our sense of humor.

Or so I'll keep telling myself that and hopefully believe it after awhile :)

February has been a mixed bag for me.

(Doesn't "mixed bag" sound like something you could order off a Chinese take-out menu? What would it have? And does it come with egg roll?)

We discovered the best way to watch the Oscars is to not watch the Oscars and instead watch the Independent Spirit Awards that we DVRed from the previous day. =) I'm watching the Oscars off DVR now, and it's not quite as lame as usual so far. Best moment has been the "I can do this!" dress-shimmy. The ceremony has been a wild blend of not-taking-itself-too-seriously and taking-itself-way-too-seriously.

Will get on to the entries later today and maybe have some 11th-hour recs tomorrow.

I'm glad to be leaving February behind. It's been a stressful month. The good part was that grandpa actually recovered from his bought with pneumonia and seems to be doing as well as he can. Mom has a meeting with the rehab facility on Wednesday to update how he's doing and see how much longer they're planning to keep him. He hasn't been home since early December!

I think the commenting is WAY down this time. I usually comment as I go along, but like I said, I'm only through poll 1 at the moment. Maybe I'll read a few entries now to catch up a little!

Seriously, though, my kids slammed his head into a metal pole while sledding and then two weeks later he broke his damn leg. I shoveled a mountain of snow, eaten a barrel of Advil after shoveling said snow, and I am ready to be on a beach someplace with a very large drink in my hand.
