I spent half of my morning catching up on a couple episodes of Glee. Two more before I catch up with the TV schedule. Other than that, just trying to focus on my family. Have to make lunch next.

Really, really super happy to be back in the game! Getting a second chance was something I couldn't have even hoped for. I couldn't have imagined having a chance to get back in at all, much less coming at a more perfect time. Things have calmed down enough for me that I'll be able to participate now.

I got up early this morning and made two different types of bread, some biscuits (cookies) and a cake. Then I felt so exhausted that I made everyone a quick lunch and fell asleep on the couch. Now I'm sitting in front of the airconditioner for a half-hour or so before I think about making tea.

I'm totally disoriented by the timing of the green room posts this season. I never know when I see it if the activity is already over or if I'm getting in at the beginning. I know I could look at the post time, play a quick game of Where in the World is Gary, and then do some math to figure out when it was posted vs. my current location but it's just easier to be a bit confused.

I'm in a fog anyway, both kids have chickenpox and it's acutally a relief for my husband to be on duty with them today and me to be at work.

Actually, though, I'm never sure about timing. I have a general 12-hours-behind rule for people in North America (and South and Central America, for that matter) but it can vary between 11 and 16 or so, which means I'm often completely out.

It's definitely spring in North Carolina. I thought the dogwood tree in my backyard was just having a fit of the crazies by flowering so early, but the roses in front of my office are in bloom too.

Good Morning All!

I would SO much rather be asleep right now. I'm darn sleepy. Alas, here I am at work, about to power through my fifteenth cup of coffee this morning.

Questions for you guys... if you weren't enjoying something, if it were getting to be a drag to even contemplate it, would you A) quit or B) gut it out so as to not disappoint people?

There's pros and cons on both sides of the issue in my head and I just don't know what to do with it just yet.

In regards to your question, I'd guess it would depend on what it was. But most of the time, I'd go with A. If you're not happy then why are you doing it, and all that.

Comic/stupid moment of the day -
My jaw has been stuck for a week or so and I had an appointment with a TMJ specialist this week. Part of the treatment is a splint, and to make it they needed to take an impression of the teeth in my lower jar. But I can't open my mouth widely which means getting the tray in and situated was a bitch. The poor nurse ended up taking seven different impressions of my lower teeth over two appointments before she got one that would work. Craziness.

Also, they're talking about the possibility of snow down to sea level here on Friday night. It's freaking people out.

Tomorrow seems to be a day for crazy weather. Here they're talking about 25mph winds gusting to possibly 70mph. Need to go out and lash the trash can to the fence so it doesn't blow away again. I've had my fill of snow this year, you can have it :D

I am doing very well this week so far! Started out rough with a 3-day spreadsheet project from hell, but that's done now :) One more work day, then I have a date, a party, a post-party hangover brunch, and a visit with my folks. Busybusybusybusy! And in the first half of that will be "finish entry and edit and post it" hopefully :)

Thinking about going back to my Icari story for this weeks entry, I have another character in that world that ties into the topic nicely.
