Every time we get together for something like this, I'm always intrigued to find contestants that I don't think are getting the attention they deserve, sometimes actually are, it's just that people aren't being vocal about it!

Other than keeping busy reading and voting (and apparently mourning, and on the edge of your seats waiting to hear about various friends and family members, I'm seriously considering staying away from you people!!!!)- what else were you up to this weekend?

The highlight of MY weekend was the closing of Borders. I don't even live in Arizona! :)

Yeah, it's dangerous to be a friend of an Idoler this week. Sheesh. Stay away from us! I am feeling a bit better, just not responding to comments because it really is just so personal, you know? But I will....just give me time.

Right now I'm "chatting" with pixie117, if you know what I mean ;) Which of course is distracting me from reading entries as fast as I could be. I'm getting there, though, and from what I've read so far, I can see why it's going to be a close one. And a few pieces I've loved, but couldn't find the words I needed to leave a decent comment :( I'm doing the best I can though.

Had a nice visit with College Kid and her gang. I kidded her that I could don pig tails and a Justin Beeber shirt and fake being her sibling instead of da' momma! LOL
Got lots of reading done this weekend too! 

Still concerned for my work friend in ICU, who is fighting for her life from bacterial pneumonia that got into her bloodstream. She's on a ventilator. Please think good thoughts, OK?

Had a good weekend, my birthday was yesterday :) and I had a really great time at home with my family. I really loved sharing birthday cake with my children and partner. Plus it was a beautifully cool day (relatively speaking) and overcast... perfect. Spent a good hour or so outside with S, T and M, sitting with the chooks, having cups of tea and just being together.

College sister came home on Saturday, so we went to mom's house for the afternoon and hung out together. My youngest brother declared it "disney day." so we played Disney Scene-It and Disney Apples to Apples. It was very relaxing and fun.

Yesterday, I worked from home and did some house chores and today will be more of the same. Luckily, little man slept from 10pm-4am :)

Right now, I'm going back to bed for another hour or two!

Staying away would probably be a good idea... I am currently battling the plague. Bleh. It started yesterday morning and I just started tailspinning last night. So I've doped up on every pill I could get my hands on... and some things are feeling better, others, not so much. I'm currently sweating like a pig and it's like 40 degrees outside. And I think I smell funny when I'm sick. So yeah... been up since 1 this morning just sweating and being ill. Bleh and bleh.

The upside of that of course, is that I've gotten through all of the entries for the week. Go me. There is some really, really good stuff this week. The "polls" are just nerve-wracking. Ugh.

I need to dose up some more and maybe lay down for a bit. The lovely pixie117 will be over in a little while so we can begin our soooper seekrit adventure. I'm so excited!

There really wasn't a highlight to my weekend, but I have today off, so that may become the highlight of my week.

I didn't do much this weekend, mostly laundry, cleaning, and reading plus reading entries. Last night I watched The Social Network which I enjoyed.

I started reading but haven't gotten very far. It was an unusually sleepy and social weekend - I saw friends both Saturday and Sunday evenings, and then went to bed earlier than I usually do during the week! Very weird. Hoping to get lots of reading done tonight, but likely won't finish till tomorrow and vote at the last minute :(

The Borders closing was one of the highlights of my weekend too- since my husband's is one of the ones closing and the liquidation sales turned the place into a total ZOO both Saturday and Sunday. Lots of people asking him what the company was going to do with them (employees) now, and being shocked ("they looked like I just kicked their puppy") when he said they were getting sacked. What do people think happens to retail employees when a store closes? At least they mostly weren't mean, although apparently some had trouble with the "no coupons, no returns, etc" policies in effect.

Whoops, sorry, this is getting tl;dr and probably ought to go on my own journal! *waves bye*

I know, having worked in retail, that's the first thing I thought of when I heard about the problems Borders was having. I had no idea things were going so badly for the company - turns out it's tied up with another chain here in Aus and their jobs are at risk, too.

I'm still reading and working on voting. RL is slamming me. I have a college assignment due Tuesday so I'm going back and forth between that and Idol and my kids and the house and the dog.

It's crazy around here. But I'll get them all read.

Today is PJ day for my 4 yo at school. She insists her doll must wear a bathrobe but no PJs. At least my Daughter agreed to wear PJs.

My weekend was mainly clearing stuff off the DVR -- "Chicago Code" shows promise, the new "Criminal Minds" spinoff we're ambivalent on.

Today will get serious about deciding my ballot, and will try to stop worrying about my own fate. =/

Fortunately, there are multiple Borders stores here (central Indiana) and the one we go to won't close (though two locations around here will)

Today is a day off from the one job, which would normally be a cool thing, but it just means I have time to catch up on the other one, lol, so it's still a work day. Joy!

Is it mandatory to submit 50 votes? That is, am I allowed to submit fewer? I'm terribly afraid I won't be able to get through all the entries but want to make sure I do vote for the ones I've read.
